Better than Sky Dimension?

So ive been considering the implications of trying to make a BTW sky demension world using this mod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd7nzE50YME
I come to the conclusion that i cant find clay, is there a work around and what other implications can u see?

It has nothing to do with it but Panda most likely wont be able to find any mossy cobble, just like he wouldn't find any clay. This means he couldn't build the block dispenser or any pottery. Panda just asked if there was anything else you could see that would make playing a sky dimention BTW world extremely difficult.

You could hack in a spawner if you wanted to. And i think if you install Mediatecraft(utakatas add-on) you can make clay from other blocks if memory serves.

Before you get too attached to this mod, note that it is incompatible with btw; it makes the DB completely useless, among others that I can't think of now.

Oi. That means it modifies world.class. Yeah: big bad mojo with a hundred consequences. That's one of my most heavily modified base-classes.

Though you could load up with the terrain gen mod, fly around to load your island and whatnot, then play the generated map with BTW - you'd just have to be careful not to go past the loaded chunks.

At times I wish minecraft had an option which lets you generate a map ad infinitum before actually playing the game.

Panda, we're running final playtest on just such a workaround tonight. You may well be able to do your sky dimension in the near future.
