Re: Fun challenge: Play BTW with dynamic camera toggled
A little too obvious of a joke, but that would get the Troll King award for sure. I know this post made me laugh. Particularly GiveMeCake's reply and candycoco's reply.
Maaan, there's nothing more fun than having to hunt down my skin.png and re-upload it!

Fun challenge: Play BTW with dynamic camera toggled
So, just for the fun and challenge of it, I decided to toggle the dynamic camera and use it while using archery just to make it more interesting. It actually turned out to be really kind of fun, requiring me to turn my mouse more vigorously and to actually try to keep my aim straight. Suddenly picki...

Re: Request for amplified world setting in BTW 1.5.2
I mostly mean the shape of the terrain, rather than biomes specifically, but I'm getting that even changing the shape of the terrain generation can also mess with the balance as well. I didn't really take into consideration how BTW was designed around both the biomes AND the terrain formation, such ...

Request for amplified world setting in BTW 1.5.2
Despite it's extreme difficulty to navigate, I really like the amplified world type and some of the new biomes...and nothing else in Vanilla Minecraft 1.7.2. Vanilla terrain in 1.5.2 is not very inspiring and adventurous-feeling, and I feel like terrains like in amplified worlds further encourages t...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Ah. Ok then. Well, the armor I would most likely wear almost all of the time would cover it up anyways. It's still a good thing that it didn't break anything. ...Oh, shit. I just brought in the new Minecraft launcher and almost f**ked up the old game version for nothing. I suddenly feel like I deser...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I believe that that the way it works is that if you use a skin that is in the new format, then the extra features (different right+left arms, armor layers on body/arms/legs) will be visible only on versions 1.8+; otherwise the skin will still work, but it won't have any of the new features. That be...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I like the new skin update. It, at best, helps make flat-looking skins pop out more. At best, it allows for more impressive and dynamic-looking skins. It doesn't seem to be working in my game version, however. Even though I've read that it's backwards compatible. I would update to see if that would ...

Re: Custom worlds
Meh. It kind of feels a bit over my head, but I'll try and look into it...some day. Is worldpainter hard? I guess I can try and find out myself! Update: After downloading it and trying it a VERY little bit, I actually think that this is something that I could use! I'm gonna experiment with it and re...

Re: Custom worlds
Mm. I would try creating a world with a mod and then re-installing BTW, if that's what you mean, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work for me. The last time I tried that, it created some preeeety big seams in the world since the rest of it would generate as normal after the mod was uninstalled. Als...

Re: Custom worlds
So you're the one who was making that custom map for BTW? I thought your avatar looked familiar, but I didn't bother to go back and look for the thread. Well, if you ever do continue on it, I wish you luck. I've thought of trying to make my own custom map, but I don't really know where to begin with...

Re: Custom worlds
Yeah, Eldaria was a great custom world to play on, but ever since hardcore spawn was added, I would often end up spawning in the ocean for some reason, which changed when I installed a fresh version of the world, but then there's still the whole lack of strata and passive mobs issue. I mean, there a...

Custom worlds
I'm just curious, aside from Eldaria, does anyone other than me play BTW on custom worlds? I know there's someone actually trying to make a custom world tailored AROUND BTW, but there's no telling when that's gonna be done. I know that the person who made Biomes 'o Plenty made a tweaked add-on versi...

Re: Starbound Beta release (4th december)
Sigh...I still wanna try it, though. Just to see what it's like, and for some of the little things in the game that I like, and of course, to build. I know it isn't worth it yet, though. If my baby sister takes an interest in it, and if it's something that will keep her from wanting me to play these...

Re: Starbound Beta release (4th december)
From what I can tell, if you have to ask yourself if you really want to buy it or not, I would suggest not buying it yet, unless you really want to support its development, and feel optimistic about its future and your enjoyment of the game. Otherwise, I would see where this goes, first. Me personal...

Re: Starbound Beta release (4th december)
It's hard to resist the temptation of buying and playing this game, but I'm starting to get worried about the balance issues. Related to that, for some reason, it just bugs me that the bow does not require ammunition. I don't know if it's because I've been playing Minecraft so much, or what, but it ...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Possibly the only good thing that I can see that came with 1.7 that the game really needed was more interesting terrain generation, and from what I've read, they've botched that up some how as well. Also, what ever happened to that modding API that they said they would make? You know! The thing that...

Re: Better than Horses (No Alligators please)
Pretty cool. Sounds like things are beginning to shape up a bit with this add-on. I'm a little surprised that the saddle is not used at any point yet, but however this add-on works is how it works.

fireworks as signals
So, I was wondering, has anyone found a use for fireworks yet? Because I've been watching Attack on Titan lately, and I also was playing around with fireworks in the game with my baby sister one day. I then decided to make a green firework that made a creeper face pattern when it blew up, and then i...

Re: Hardcore Headwear SPOILERS
Whoa. I go away for awhile, and suddenly, squids hats are actually one of the coolest and most dangerous mob types in the game, and are actually FUN to have around and fight. I really like that extra touch where they shoot a tentacle out at you! I was on a boat crossing the ocean, and although I was...

Re: The little things...
You know what? Those creepers nuts ARE the bomb! I don't know if it's supposed to happen, but I noticed that when I neutered a creeper with my shears, they get this hi-larious expression on their faces, and that they also cannot detonate! I wonder if that's OP? I guess this is another little thing t...
