Re: 4.65 Balance Observations and Discussion (SPOILERS)
Though I feel this might be more of a problem with vanilla Minecraft, it definitely feels weird to me. On my second day of a new play-through, I came across a desert temple while trying to find a village. In the temple, I looted 6 powder kegs, a pressure plate, 23 bones. That was all fine. Then ther...

Re: Minecraft Tech Support
After much faffing about, I realised that the old versions of Java hadn't uninstalled properly. So I did that and now it works.
New problem: MultiMC can't find java, even though I typed in the new path properly.

Re: Minecraft Tech Support
All correct. If your java version is up to date, why does it say in your error log, that you are using version 1.6.0_31, which was built more than a year ago? Current version is update 45, if that doesn't work, try using java 7 instead of 6! I've installed java 7 and deleted all other versions on m...

Minecraft Tech Support
Since the tech support section of this forum is for BTW tech support, not general Minecraft tech support, and I really don't want to have to go near the MC forums, I'm going to post this here to see if anybody knows how to fix this. After trying to join a server (running BTW, but I think this is pro...

Re: [4.64] manjiWorld! Friendly Survival (Whitelisted)
Welp, it worked again for about a minute after installing Java 7, but then it stopped working. The error log that MultiMC gives me is this: Connecting to 188.165.255.205, 25602 # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00...

Re: Game design stories
1. In continuing the conversation about the public eye in game design, why does it seem like we have good communities and bad communities in various games? The BTW community is fairly small and well mannered, but is this only regulated to small communities? I think a forum just needs to have slow g...

Re: [4.62] manjiWorld! Friendly Survival (Whitelisted)
Huh. So Minecraft crashed as soon as the beacon came into view and now I can't join because it immediatly crashes on joining. I tried doing the same in single player, but it doesn't crash when I make beacons in it, so I don't know what's wrong. EDIT: It's not the beacon, I was able to stay for nearl...

Minecraft, updates and how to get the right one.
After not playing Minecraft for a while and not having updated to the version that BTW runs on, I've decided I want to play it again. The problem is this: I can't update to the version the latest BTW works on. It skips straight to the latest Minecraft version. How do I get a version in between the o...

Re: Dinnerbone adds "Comparator". Curse or Blessing?
The fact that they're adding an Op-Amp is quite silly, considering there's nothing in the game that needs different voltage levels, and no analouge sensors like LDRs to actually amplify. EDIT: Oh hey, it doesn't have all the features that actual Comparators have IRL, like the amplification. Making i...

I don't get why each side hates the other. I like Forge mods, including the FTB/Technic packs, and I like BTW :/
