Re: What is BWF?

That's kinda like closing the barn door after the horses have left isn't it? Sad fact is, Forge simps now have their hands on it, and it wouldn't be very difficult for one of them to take it and run with it, regardless of what "FlowerAdult/FlowerSibling/whatever" does.

Re: Why we need RTH now more then ever

Hehe...thanks man. Yeah, I personally need RTH more than ever as well. Added to my original desire to distance myself from the vanilla design (for reasons the above is just another symptom of), with the Forge community now intent on ripping off BTW entirely with this BWF thing because I refuse to j...

Re: 1.3 Discoveries

1.3 still requires both a client and server version of a mod for true multiplayer, correct? All 1.3 did was allow MP on a LAN with only a client side mod. My understanding is that people on a LAN with client side versions of a mod will be able to open their wolds to the LAN. Other's on the LAN will ...

Re: BTW Wiki Idea - Builds (Input requested!)

For myself, I've found that other's completed builds rarely ever fit in my world. I simply take the parts of them I can use, and adapt them to my personal needs. I understand FC's concerns, but I feel the majority of the core community is intelligent enough to make their own decisions in this regard...

Re: syncing saves on multiple computers

Well, I just went to ask Raust a question on the Doggy Talents thread and found out he's adopting forge, so I guess that takes care of that issue. Thank you all very much for your input, looks like I'll be using the Dropbox solution. Consider this one fixed, if a mod would be so kind as to lock it?

Re: syncing saves on multiple computers

I know :D. I've got a hunch that your problem stems from that and the way MC saves saves. I'm not entirely sure on how to explain what I mean, but suffice to say that a loader wrapper which makes MC ... portable should solve your troubles. This one for example Take one every two hours and report in...

Re: syncing saves on multiple computers

To synchronize my save files across several computers, I use a combination of MultiMC and Dropbox. MultiMC allows (among other things) the storage of the .minecraft folder in a place other than the appdata folder, and Dropbox will automatically synchronize files between computers. Simply place the ...

syncing saves on multiple computers

I thought I would post this question here, as I consider this a far more reliable and intelligent community with regard to technical matters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The situation.... I have multiple computers, and i'm looking for a mostly automatic way to sync various users Minecra...

Re: Minecraft snapshots

Well, there go my plans for a permanent base in the nether, with a buildcraft quarry feeding clay/iron/coal into an enderchest in the overworld, and one in the nether feeding a soul forged steel factory. Not to mention the ability to send the output of all your overworld farms to the nether. I real...

Re: Minecraft snapshots

In BTB you can pump the items out of a chest, so you can have a central factory (which is what I'm working on now. Yeah, I will personally make sure that Buildcraft will never be able to pump items out of the ender chest. That just breaks BTB big time and I won't allow it. I'm actually kinda glad t...

Re: Ice+Waterflow

I guess I'm struggling to see the issue here. Having never experimented with ice for item transport before, I'm curious, aside from higher speed, and horizontal transport on the same level, what advantages are there to ice? I mean, if you need the items to change direction, you still need water righ...

best part is, if you look on his page, he's flat out said no way to forge, or any modpacks. gonna give it a try, it all looks cool, but the pivoting doors are what I'm mainly interested in.

Re: 1.2.4 Blackout!

Another little tip to avoid this problem in the future:

1 backup your minecraft.jar
2 start minecraft and update it
3 replace updated jar with backed up one
4 play minecraft without update pestering till your mods update
5 update minecraft and install your updated mods
6 enjoy

Lol, it's got fur and a tail, close enough for me. Though at $100-$600/lb. for the coffee, I'd rather have the civet than a cat.

Re: Creative Mode. Like or dislike?

For me, creative is about testing designs, I can check the look/layout of anything i want to make at no cost before I replicate it in my survival world. I hate almost fiinshing a huge project, only to find it wont work, especially if you're using hard to get material. As to the inventory thing, I ju...
