The mysterious iron nugget?*

So I have a mob trap, with filtering and such.. but I am getting random iron nuggets* every now n then. Which mob is this dropping from? I know it has to be one of the swamp mobs or a squid. So witch, slime, or squid?

My bet's on the squid. fishhooks are an explanation as to why people fly upwards when snagged by squid, instead of straight towards the squid itself.

Nothing is supposed to drop iron nuggets.
Unless someone else has this happening as well, your install is likely messed up.

no iron nuggets in my trap for 5 weeks. the trap is based on a big hills biome

So I went to creative and killed about one hundred of each swamp spawning mobs including the usuals. No Nuggets. I'm thinking an enderman spawned inside your trap and placed a block where a saw is and broke it :D

I have no idea why a large hills mob trap would even relate to to a swamp mob trap... but I have reinstalled the servers BTW files. And I am missing no saws, in total there was 4 nuggets. So Hope someone didnt troll me by dropping them into the killzone and this actually fixes this.

Broken saws drop both ingots and nuggets, something like 2 ingots and 4. But anyway, fair luck.

Oh this was on a server, yeah that opens a ton of possibilities. I am sure everyone has died at least once in mob trap tinkering and had their goods collected :P

No one has died in this one, I assure you. And I just opened this base up to the public yesterday. Ive found one nugget in it once every 3 or 4 days. Very strange the ideas people came up with, like squids have iron teeth or swallowed fishing rod hooks. Witches lucky charms, and slimes having tears like ghasts.. heh
