im having this problem and in addition the cement looks like saplings, it must be incompatible with one of the mods i have installed, if you could point out which one id be grateful. the mods i have are as follows:
Gui API
MCExtended
modloader
property reader
forge api
recipe book
too many items
id resolver
clay soldiers
buildcraft (all)
CJB's modpack
modloaderMP
wirelessredstone
pig grinder
fanblock
magic boots

Also do you have Optifine installed, there is currently an incompatibility between it and MinecraftForge around exactly this problem.
If not then it is possibly MCExtended.
Since the latest release moved all the BTW textures into a single file, some mods confuse this file with the base vMC textures file and cause it to be ignored.
are you sure you installed correctly..the jar not the mods folder, if thats not it, try installing it again and be double sure to include the textures.
i fixed it, i had installed forge by compressing it and inserting into /mods but that was the problem, after i put it in the .jar it worked.

im having the same problem. i took off all other mods except tmi forge and modloader still wont work. i install it 3 times (correctly) and even tried 2 compatible texture packs, and it still wont work. any ideas/help will be greatly appreciated
