Thanks FC, aside from all the great other features, this one really bugged me.

Heh, that's funny, I found it nice to be able to pick up my own arrows. I mean sure, some arrows break or what have you, but you should be able to recover some of them right?

Oh well :).

An interesting new feature, lot of nice fixes and tweaks (I always thought the arrow bounce-back was vanilla bug... Show how much non-BtW Minecraft I play these days), nice release overall, thank you FC! How many Hardcore modes are left though? While they're cool I can't wait for Phases since I just finished collecting this today:

All I can say this is the most fun I had from the feature that isn't jut not out yet but we don't even know what it will actually do.

I love the hardcore beds!! The one thing that often somewhat annoyed me about SMP, is that after a while, people go off in distance and you hardly ever see them again. With this, at least the central spawn point and railroads will provide some form of social life. :D

One question : What happens to old Mooshroom already wearing Breeding harness ? Because we can't take them off, and that's my two last Mooshroom ;)
Don't make me kill them !

Or killing field...depending on your particular preference ;)

Buy yeah, I think this should go a long way to centralizing SMP play more. Both the beds and lack of F3 co-ordinates make building at extreme distances from the spawn more difficult, and if people are really inclined to do so, they'll likely need to at least physically connect in some way (rails, roads, way markers, etc.)

After spending a very long time thinking about it, I'm convinced that beds were just bad for MC in general. Yes, they were convenient, but they were a step back for gameplay on multiple levels.

They should be fine as is I believe. You'll still get the shrooms poking through the harness, but if you don't mind that, they're fine :)

And don't forget, you can turn regular cows into mooshrooms by having them stand on mycellium ;)

This update seems to be made of awesome, FC! Good job!
I've had very limited time to play MC lately but I've been debating to start a new SSP world for a long while now, and this release seems to be the perfect moment.

Anyway, thanks a lot! This mod just keeps getting better and better!

Can't wait to play a bit with the stake. Sounds like the perfect multitool to carry around. Thanks for the update, man. :)

And, update 4-20? So that means hemp is now smokable, right? :P

Unless I'm missing something big, the simplicity of the stake's functionality is just perfect. I was trying to over-complicate it in my head but the way it is I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I look forward to a more centralized SMP as soon as the servers update and people start dying. Shall we go hunting, precious? >:)

Awesome update.

The info and bedding change are DRAMATIC changes to gameplay, especially on servers. VERY exciting.

Woot! Hopefully I won't have to worry about catching myself on fire with my flame aspect bow anymore. Also, makes feathers valuable again, since arrows will be consumed properly!

Excellent release!
And I was wondering why my arrows don't get used up o.O

I cant wait to play with stakes! I'm sure I can find an aesthetic use for them too. The timing of this release is perfect since I just built a flower farm and am going to start a mob trap. Grinding and stakes will be so useful!

I guess I'm the only one curious about what just happened to the pedestals?

Actually, they make pretty good beams to stick out sideways from the tops of walls. Kinda like you see in Western film sometimes. I have no idea what such beams are called, but yeah, the stakes look good in that role :)

I can't imagine that's supposed to be a secret. Spoilered just in case.

When you click on the bottom half of a block, they are placed with the top up. When you click on the top half, they are placed with the bottom side down. That's how half slabs work now, so somebody suggested pedestals should too.

Rafters?

I wonder if this would let us do adobe style buildings with exposed rafters. I bet smooth sandstone would look a lot like adobe... Hmmm... I'm really excited to try out this new feature.

I guess, but I'm talking about the ends of them visible on the outside of structures rather than on the inside.

They might still be referred to as rafters though regardless. I have no idea :)

Interior rafters are probably best done with axles though, and as an added bonus, they're the same thickness as Stakes, entirely accidentally of course ;)
