Glowing water

Post by nmarshall23 »

Glowing water gives off light, probably around that of a red-stone torch.

It's not naturally spawning.
In Hardcore Bucket mode, it maybe possible to change a normal water into glowing water.
This might make some sense given Steve's bottling souls. Maybe it's soul infused water?
I can see having to use streams of glowing water for infernal machinery.

Just a random thought.

I like the idea, and I think Glowstone would fit better. But saying something like this is no good idea.

To what end? And why do we have any indication that souls glow? Soulforged steel doesn't glow.

If you want light-giving liquid, you already have Lava. It's fun, dangerous, and can burn your base down if used incorrectly. A safe alternative doesn't seem to fit the feel of the mod, considering that a lot of the systems can cause damage if used incorrectly. And why not just put glowstone/lightblocks/redstone lamps underneath water, if you are that desperate?

I wanted to encase my item convectors in glass. Glowing water would make easier to see if there is an item in the channel.
Also I had the thought that it would be badass to light up my garden with water..

However you are right, I don't have a compelling reason for glowing water.

And there are plenty of ways to achieve this effect.

Anyhow, thanks for the feedback. I use try one of those effects..

Sigh...I guess it's too late to fit you into this week's poll.

I'll note you down for next.
