OH MY GOD ! I'm french and don't know that ?! We sure are dumb ! The rest of the world is totally right about us (if they care, which is not very a important point ^^).

Anyway, that is very great ! And as FC said, that plus the cost of studies make me consider going across the border !

Ah, student loans. One day, I will be unable to defer you. But that day is not today.

I said president and meant prime minister. Pain meds keep me pretty dumb :/

We're a monarchy, so it's pretty much the same thing. Political head of state.

Housing cost was the main reason I left Versailles and moved elsewhere. :P

Gormador wrote:Well 1k a month for a rent isn't that huge, you're right. I don't know where you live in Canada, but in Paris the prices are awful. I live in a 20square meter 1 room flat 1km from Paris and it's around 600 Euros a month...
Being a student is expensive.
I live in a cheaper part, but I've got a big place and my brother lives with me while he's going to school so I cover everything.

The most expensive place I've seen around here was a 2 bedroom condo for $6200 (~4700 euro) a month. Not including utilities. Not including strata (maintenance) fees. And only one parking space. People call me stupid with my money; when they do, I direct them to those who would rent a place like that.
