Glass and Detector Blocks

My suggestion is, that Detector Blocks should not be able to see Glass.
Because it is logic, and you can switch this way an Detectorblock out, so that it does not send an signal.
Maybe the same thing for piston extensions.

Can you explain why you want this feature in the mod, please?

It could be useful for strip based memory I guess, but we can already use the BD as 16 bit ram, and use transparent/nontransparent blocks over redstone torches for the same effect

Can you see glass? So can the Detector Block.

This isn't going to happen.

My point exactly this doesn't add anything and imho it gives you something easier.

Actually, I will at least ask why you want this.

So, why do you want this? Or are you just wasting our time with random ideas that cross your mind and serve no purpose?

The usefulness of this would be preventing the DB sending a signal when you would like to prevent falling items from triggering the DB.

That's not useful. I can think of about 5 different ways to do that without modifying the way the Detector Block functions.

I thought of an easy automatic way to farm hemp.
@FC: Take a random item. Put it directly in front of your eyes. Can you look through it? No.
No go to a window. Can you look through it? Yes!
And if you stay in front of a window, and the window is clean, you may not notice that there is a window.

Farming hemp is ridiculously easy already, it's possibly the easiest auto farm to build (except maybe cactus or sugar cane). The only suggestions that get met with any sort of positive reaction here are ones that would allow something new and interesting to be done with minimal work.

Your suggestion would change the functioning of an existing block and likely lead SOME worlds to get messed up, all so that you can do something that can already be done in a different way.

Just wanted to give you a heads up why you're probably going to receive a less then stellar response. I'd consider your ideas more if you decide to make another suggestion in the future.

This is not going anywhere. Your suggestion, while it would take time to implement, would not allow anyone to do anything they could already do. So it's pointless.
