Updated to BTW 3.27 (no new stuff :p)

I changed a few of the items around, everything should look better. Also switched the windmill and water wheel to a more appropriate color.

Fixed a few of the GUIs, but the BD one is a bit harder to fix, will try to get it done, but it requires me to mess with alpha channels and stuff and it's not that easy.

Question: Right now, steel weapons are white, just like diamond weapons. Iron block is white too. This means it's near impossible to make a steel block that looks decent. I'm thinking I might need a different color for steel tools, but the white looks so sexy :/. Any ideas?

Edit: To-do list:
- Decide on a color for steel
- Make the selection thingie for the BD
- Make armors like accessories like in the default joli
- Make full armor as alt
- Replace a few more items (padding, arrow head, hemp, foul food)

Perhaps grey it up a little bit, maybe give it a bit of a Damascus steel swirly pattern to it to keep some of that pretty steel white. With the 16x16 the swirls will probably be a pain though. That or take some artistic license and make the steel black rather than white. Wouldn't be as realistic, but hell, it's soul-forged steel, not your normal run of the mill stuff.

Damascus steel is possible, I've been thinking about that, but there's no way to fit that in 16x16 textures. Remember that the average tool is about 3 pixels wide.

Black steel is an option, I'll have to see how it looks. I'm just afraid it will look like crap. I'll try it out.

Yeah, I figured the Damascus steel would be a pain in the ass with such a small palette. But damn would it look sharp. More feasible of an idea for a HD pack or something I guess.

Yeah, me too, for now. I'll have to sleep on it and look at it with fresh eyes. Did you notice right away that the helm are toothed jaws? I'm not sure if that is obvious enough :/

I did, for some reason it reminds me of James Earl Jones's snake worshiping cult from the old Schwarzenegger Conan: The Barbarian. I don't know why... no one in that movie wears anything like this that I recall. That's just the image it brings up. Which is a good thing.

New release!

- New armors, the gimp suit is now an alt, just change the names of the files to get it back
- Support for RecipeBook BTW Fix
- Proper steel block and tools. Steel is now black

I tried it, it doesn't seem to include the standard jolicraft textures for everything else NOT in better than wolves. How do I combine texture packs?

@Gilberreke Seems the new gear overlay element in the GUIs is offset to hte left by about 3 pixels. It's a minor thing, but I thought I'd mention it. I love the color changes and tweaks. Especially concentrated Hellfire and the hellfire bars.

Yeah, there seems to be a one pixel offset there. Odd. I'll try to fix it. Like I said, GUI stuff is fiddly as hell :/

I'm loving this texture pack, aside from the utterly HIDEOUS wolves. Fortunately, Doggy Talents uses its own textures, so I can use it anyway without cringing.

Thanks for the armor that actually shows your face. I like it so much better.

And yes, there is a dog on my head. He's leading me home. This is part of my contingency plan for if I ever somehow get hopelessly lost, like if I get off-course in the nether.

I leave a DTDoggy with BedFinder at the spawn point, so that I can use a compass to lead me to him, and then use him to take me back to the base. This'll be crucial to being able to find a nether fortress and get some blaze rods.

General message for everyone else, as they aren't privy to our conversations:

I'll be starting work on supporting Doggy Talents today, with hopefully some cuter wolves :)

I've got some tricks up my sleeve, but it will take a while, since creating mob skins is actually rather involved :)

I'm going to release v1 as a "pug edition". The pug is cute and it's already in Joli as an alt. For the first version I'll do the items and simple editing of the pug skin, v2 will feature some new cute dog skins.

Have you thought about somehow supporting randomobs with DT? I'd love it if my world is populated by several breeds of dogs and training them retains the skin. I'm pretty sure it's possible to support it without creating a dependency.

I'm sure it'd be possible if I talked to the people involved. In fact, since I'm currently working on the final release before multiplayer, this might be a good time to do that. Thanks for the suggestion!
