How to Correctly Install BTW v4.00+ [MC 1.3.2]

Tried that already, same issue. tried entire .minecraft folder, same issue. My unmodded backup got overwritten somehow, so I can't just clean slate it atm T.T

My java is version 7 beta, if that has any impact.

If you mean your unmodded backup of Minecraft itself, simply delete the whole thing and let it download again from scratch. (You can even delete all the contents of .minecraft, but make sure to back up everything first so you don't lose things like saves, screenshots, and config files.)

Really helpful to me earlier when I had a mini brain-fart and somehow forgot that you had to use WinRAR rather than just dragging and dropping :)

I then redownloaded it from the site and followed this step by step, I am still getting the black screen after log in.

I am not running any other mods, just mod loader and BTW. And I have tried installing them in different orders and everything, but I always get the black screen.

Well, BTW is now incompatible with just about every mod out there, due to dropping forge, so try just BTW.

I'm not sure what the problem is, I am almost certain that I started with a clean .minecraft folder. Are you sure you are adding the folder contents, not the folders themselves?

If on windows, use 7zip to patch the jar properly, it seems other archive editor programs are messing with the jar file.

Actually, WinRAR also seems to work fine, at least on my system. Haven't had any problems with mangled jars yet, at least.

I've been using JZip so that may be the problem. I'll download 7zip and try again.

Yep, Jzip was the problem, I downloaded 7Zip and now the mod works perfectly.
