i wanted to ask you if i could use your mod in my adventure map. i wanted to ask you before i started work on it because i didn't want to get into trouble by you or anyone else. the adventure map will require people to download the mod. and probably will be posted on the forums

Of course you can. But you'll have to give people the link to the official thread, where they will download the mod (which is what you intend to do I think).
