A quick thank you for those amazing features :)
I have started a new survival world since there have been quite a few major changes to the mod, and I'm enjoying it so far. Well thank you! (PS: I entered "Flowerchild" as the seed and it is pretty awesome, it features a village and an almost open air mineshaft in the swamp biome)

Sweet! This solves a problem I didn't have yet! My next project is a villager...village built around and feeding into my mob spawner. I wanted to predominantly use wood for its construction and was contemplating various fire preventative methods. This is perfect! Absolutely amazing release yet again and more than a few companion cubes shall be burnt in celebration!

does anyone know wether lighting rods attract lighting to themselves or to an area around them?

Fantastic update. Thanks for the updates to metal drops, I'll start testing to confirm the rate changes asap.

Also, pleasant surprise that the mob head pike is actually primarily a lightning rod! I appreciate the added defense for windmills and wooden structures!

Yay!

The lightning rods have inspired me to now put spiked pits in and around any drawbridges and such. I love not knowing what I want until it's given as something else >.<

Hehe...while working on them I was contemplating providing a fall damage bonus if you land on one :)

I want to take more time to think about that one though, as it may drastically impact mob-trap design.

It does? I have a world with Flowerchild as the seed and it took me to an island with a single tree in the middle of a large biomes ocean :p can't remember if I used a capital 'C' though...

Looking forward to heads on spikes ;) this'll be brilliant for one of my favourite builds: haunted houses! Also means I'll be able to use wool for barber-pole lighthouses again :D

I've been in semi-lurk mode the last couple of weeks for some reason... but I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the update. As always lots of awesome stuff. :) I fully intend to Frankenstein up my base with the lightning rods.
