I believe your thermo nuclear crater can be achieved through stoking hellfire dust in large quantities....

Unless you use the resources in your opponents base, that seems like a lot more work and materials to set up.SterlingRed wrote:I believe your thermo nuclear crater can be achieved through stoking hellfire dust in large quantities....

I dunno, an epic suicide bomber for just:DxPanxD wrote:Unless you use the resources in your opponents base, that seems like a lot more work and materials to set up.
1 Lever
1 Habachi
1 Crucible/Stewing Pot
1 Bellows
1 Hand Crank
and however much hellfire dust.
Simple and quick to use and, provided you have a base with nether access, easy to resupply.
On the internet you can be whatever you want. It's surprising so many people choose to be stupid.

Suicide bombing might become very not viable depending on what FC has in store for us....

Re: BTW Ebilness
I don't think it will be as simple as respawning back at your base.
Which just means you need to add some redstone and an item dispenser to the mix.

Re: BTW Ebilness
I don't know that the dispenser would work since for a big boom you need a lot in at once. If you could throw a ton on a block and somehow get a timer to destroy/remove that block at the right time that could work well...

Or you know, you could just use a timer to turn the hibachi on....

Re: BTW Ebilness
I went ahead and tested a stoked hellfire bomb. I used a hopper to remotely drop 18 full stacks into a stoked crucible. It wasn't nearly as impressive as the TNT bombs have been.
On the other hand, surrounding a stoked crucible with TNT, then dropping hellfire into it, was suitably impressive. There was awesome spread on the TNT.

I really hope there's more powerful explosives in the future of BTW... :)

Re: BTW Ebilness
You could even sabatoge your opponents BD a rig it to a pulsar...

That
was awesome.
Theoretically you could place the redstone on downward or side facing dispensers.
Re: BTW Ebilness
All bar the one that faces the Buddy Block, but yes. Destruction can occur in all directions.Poppycocks wrote: Theoretically you could place the redstone on downward or side facing dispensers.
The potential.... it's beautiful is it not?

Re: BTW Ebilness
why not simply build a 5x5x5 block of TNT with a DB setting of the middle one after a sugar cane reaches two hight?
Total costs:
~ 2 Stacks of TNT
1 DB
2 Redstone (to get the signal into the TNT)
1 sugar cain
(optional: 1 Planter)
buildtime: ~ 3 Minutes
the middle TNT will spread the surrounding TNT so it should leave a "nice" crater.
Edit:
One could build it in a 3x3x3 pattern with a lot less costs (TNT) and placing the Redstone in the middle and the DB in one of the walls with the sugar cane under it..

Re: BTW Ebilness
Top-down burrower/bunker buster.
Setup everything before adding the redstone that powers the light, then if you want, you can power it, and add a button on the block next to the BB if you like the feeling of starting destruction with a button. Also, you have to burrow 6-8 blocks down the shaft before starting it, otherwise it will get backed up.
Destruction ensues.

Re: BTW Ebilness
Why would it be limited to seven BDs? Couldn't you extend the initial redstone junction to be a bit longer, thereby making space for more BDs in a ring?

Good point. Oh Dear.DaveYanakov wrote:Why would it be limited to seven BDs? Couldn't you extend the initial redstone junction to be a bit longer, thereby making space for more BDs in a ring?
Also, the key element to the mass destruction is making sure that the tnt has space around it when activated. If it is all in the same coordinates (because the surrounding blocks locked it in place) potential destruction is greatly reduced as a lot of the TNT will just blow up in the air. With the random variance provided by this mechanism, you get a reasonable spread of the explosive goodness.
I need to do an underground test to see how it goes.
