Not sure if posting that kind of link's allowed on these forums, so I'll just tell you do a Google "I'm feeling lucky" of "endermen rule 34". You'll find the oh-so-wrong pics.
Abracadabra, you're an idiot.

Is that dragons porn and muscle cars porn or dragons and muscle cars porn? You need to be precise when dealing with rule 34 or it will spawn even more smut.

I think notch revealed a way to keep endermen from attacking... Notice how the guy in this pic has a pumpkin on his head as a hat? Notch said looking directly at the endermen makes them attack. I'll bet wearing a pumpkin will make them not attack.

If this is true, then instead of tinfoil hats, all the paranoid people who play minecraft will wear pumpkins instead! And they'll never take them off!

I think Notch confirmed it on reddit that a pumpkin prevents them from becoming agressive.

All I could think when I read about the Endermen was...

Holly crap notch has watched Dr Who

'Don't blink' 'Blink and your dead'

The stone angels.... the first time I see one I am going to shit myself! Catch it in your cross hairs and they'll follow you teleporting near you if you run!

I wonder how long it will be before the first retexture of endermen to weeping angels? :)

They drop diamonds atm, but we'll likely change that before release

Well atm the only viable form of vMC armor is leather armor, iron and diamond being too rare to have that armor all the time. So enderman dropping diamonds would be helpful for that.
When you think about it, diamonds rarity doesn't fit it's usefulness. You farm diamonds from endermen and break the game by being a bit harder to kill and spamming jukeboxes? Right.

(dunno if that made sense or not, I'll leave it to the more well spoken people to translate <.<)

Since you play BTW (assuming that you do) you like the techtree progression theme. It's what defines this mod. Are you not worried about the only progression in vMC being destroyed (wood to diamond)?

But diamonds arn't useful in BTW either. Only possible use would be the lens, and FC could easily replace diamonds with something else.

EDIT: Nevermind I should read a post before replying to it xD. And no I'm not really worried about that. The end of the tech tree for vMC in my opinion is making elaborate redstone and piston stuff, not slightly more advanced tools and armor.

And this is presuming that Endermen are easy to kill, which they may not be (hell they can even break your mobtraps).

I see your point and agree redstone somewhat makes for a better goal then diamond tools ... For me it's now simply wait and see till 1.8 is out.

I'll have to disagree. Even in the brand you world I started last week, I already have like 6 stacks of iron in a chest, from my 3 cave exploration trip.
I already had like 2 or 3 stack even before I had any diamond.

From the footage whe saw on the livestream, they looked to be as stupid as the other mobs.
And I can't see how they could destroy your mobtraps ? They can't pick-up blocks placed by the player ... As long as your mobtrap is 100% made out of cobblestone, you're good.

So if I place dirt it doesn't count as "placed by player" and can therefore be moved by endermen? If that's the case I'll have to do some serious restructuring in my mixed trap ...

Nah, the game can tell the difference between a block generated by the game, and a block you placed. If you make it out of dirt, placed by yourself, you're good. I said cobblestone because that's the material used in 99% of the mobtrap, as it is the most common one.
