[Friday the thirteenth] ...Turned out to be a day in which my luck has finally started to come around. Today, I was informed that I had been offered a position as Systems Analyst for a company in the area. It will be temp-to-hire for the first 90 days, but I feel confident that I can prove my worth and be offered the permanent spot. The income will be well-received, as it will mean the opportunity to bring my finances back into the black, and eventually move out of my parent's basement. However, I can't dawdle, as my family will be moving out of state by July, at the latest. I have a lot to be grateful for, and a lot to look forward to. Here's to a Friday the 13th that wasn't a complete wreck! :D

Resurrecting this thread to note that Wednesday is officially "Hump Day" for me, and the perverted sub-text of that makes that day of the week something to smile about.

Otherwise, I wanted to make a quick post to let those who are interested know that things are going quite well at my new job. The work is interesting and within my capabilities, my co-workers seem like decent people, and the company itself is currently expanding, which means that the IT department will have plenty of work moving forward, as acquired companies are brought into the fold, and their infrastructures are steadily adapted. (Pardon the "Borg collective" phrasing, it's just the best way to explain it.)

Also, I'm going to re-title this thread.
