Gates: so simple

The gate block will blend with gates. This block will function as a door and be 1 1/2 blocks high but look 1 block high

I do agree, and i have to say (ive been with the mod scince the begginning) that this was an idea proposed a looooooong time ago and it has been placed on the back burner for further assessment!!

also, this could be made with a play on the code regarding the trapdoor... scince the code is already edited (so i think it is changed) we could simply add code that the fence would recgonize the hatch as a fence post and 'deploy' those lil notches that make the fence look like a fence, and scince the hatch is 1x1 one would not need to worry about the hatch 'deploying' its own notches!!

anyways, this would be quite nice, but it can already be down with pistons, either showing the sticky piston on the ground level (the easiest way) or i believe battosay has a video of how to hide it in his second tutorial

Actually, no, it's not simple. As Jeb has said, the fact that fences exist in the middle of a block (instead of along the edges), makes a fence gate much more complex then it would first appear.

Also, use descriptive titles for your subjects. Thread closed.
