It's the one day of the year I can barely stomach being on the net. Everyone tries, very few are successful. I actually look forward to Google's prank and ThinkGeek's prank, but that's about it.

It is by far one of my favorite days of the year, I love seeing the "attempts" at pranks. Some companies spend tons of money on it.

I think my favorite to date was Blizzards "Starcraft for Kinect".

Last year the Allspark gave everyone mod powers for the day.

It went really well, surprisingly.

I wonder what they'll do this year, aside from G2 Mayhem and the amazing, amazing Allspark 1985 skin.

Does anyone remember this from a few years back...I actually did squee when I first saw it, (my boss showed it to me) but he gave up pretty quickly that it was IGN's April Fool's Day prank.

Seriously...This was one time when a sadface just couldn't express the dashing of my hope. This is a movie I would have promised the soul of my firstborn to have it made, paid to see in the theater, probably multiple times, and bought the Blu-Ray...and maybe a t-shirt/fridge magnet or two...

If it reassures you any, I don't generally participate in April fools because:

a) It's too obvious whereas I prefer the subtle continuous troll at any time of year.

b) I usually don't wake up before noon :)

Pony-based pranks certainly seem the most popular this year, along with the yearly mirror-the-site-along-some-axis ones. I guess it was to be expected.

What surprises me more, though, is that I survived my nephew's birthday party without a single april fools joke!
