Nah man. The mod currently occupies 46 block IDs as of the last release.

So, like, how many blockIDs are we talking about having left? at least ten?

Well there's 256 total... 0 - 255 and vanilla takes up to 124 so that leaves 121 so with btw taking up 76 after the added 30 you should still be ok with 45 left assuming he doesn't add anymore which is unlikely since he said probably more. But I doubt it would be more than half again what he said so I would say you have a safe 30 block Ids. Did I miss anything?

The shift-clinking into the furnace will be nice to have in vanilla, it's one of the things I keep doing on burpcraft because I forget that BTW isn't actually part of minecraft >.>

I've heard that 1.2.4 mods are working on 1.2.5. Too lazy to check, but it'd be nice if this update only needs minor changes to work right.

It'll likely take them awhile to understand why it's better, but I suspect the shift-clicking to all crafting grids will eventually be part of vanilla.

Right now I suspect they don't want to do it because of the problems with shift-clicking to 2X2 (which is why I just don't allow that part) and they figure it will be inconsistent if you can't

I really love it when people start complaining about features I haven't released yet based on a partial understanding given the hints I've put out. Really I do.

I make no promises man, and I refer further complaints to the following statement:
*** The Mod That is Incompatible With Everything!!!(*) ***
If you don't like it, talk to Jeb.

(*) Except BuildCraft With Better Then BuildCraft installed

So I couldn't care less about ID's, (as long as that asterisk is still there :D )

Also, I can't wait to see what you have done with the mod in the past 20 days. April 10th can't come son enough.

My understanding was that it was this one:

-Fixed world generation failing under certain circumstances

It was causing persistent crashes in some people's worlds.

This makes me feel pretty vindicated. I avoided using ExtraBiomesXL because while it was pretty as all get-out, I didn't want to use too many block IDs and possibly bork my worlds. As of right now I think I only use one other mod that adds a block ID at all, which is Zeppelin.

And a mass of people that will follow that monster to oblivion. Quite ingenious if you ask me.

Sorry if this little message is kind of random and/or off-topic with the current conversation, but I didn't feel like it deserved it's own thread and I really just wanted to share it, so..

AUTO CORRECT IN MINECRAFT

It would be the most amazing thing ever.
And I'm going to Tweet Jeb about it.

I just don't understand what's so exciting about the idea that you feel compelled to notify the game creator (or us).

What is the problem with shift-clicking to 2x2 exactly?

Because currently shift-clicking with the 2x2 grid up moves items between the hotbar and your inventory.

Well, apparently they meant what they said, MCP62 is already out for the snapshot. If they keep their word and don't change from the snapshot at all when they do the official release, then that means we technically COULD update now.

Personally, I'm skeptical. The update process for me is trivial anyway, so I'm just going to wait in case they decide to do a last-minute change, which I honestly wouldn't put past them at this point...

Wouldn't there be problems with the fact BTW is about to leave us with about 10 Block IDs for BuildCraft users? or are there enough Block IDs

BTW will take up ~75 block ids, minecraft takes ~130, and there are 256 in total. Math it up a little.
