Alright, I'll start tomorrow then! Also, again, I'd like to keep the IC logs more on the comedic end than on the dramatic/tragic end. Partially because serious is quite a bit harder to write imho, but also because I'd just like to keep this a lighthearted affair :)

My general goals for this first part will be to set up a rudimentary base of sorts, and start training up our first team pet.

I have 4 ideas for what to make our first doggy, and if anybody cares to reply, I'd like to know which of these you think would be the best use of my time:

Option 1: Barky. Surface combat. Will start off with spread-out stats for combat and speed. At max level will be able to effectively assassinate creepers on sight and get some loot bonuses from them

Option 2: Toby. General farmhand, will have PackPuppy (portable inventory and auto-pick-up) and HunterDog (improved drop rates) as his first skills, and will also get PuppyEyes (charms villagers into giving you presents) later, along with BedFinder (lets you locate the last place he saw you sleep) and HappyEater (easier to feed).

Option 3: Becquerel. WolfMount, will start off with decent speed and fall immunity, will later be upgraded (once we get melons and diamonds) to be able to cross water and lava, as well as to have faster movement.

Option 4: Remus. The ideal spelunking-buddy, will have an inventory, along with combat skills and fall and lava immunity. This one is probably going to be the toughest to train to the point of usefulness, since he needs hellhound and pillowpaw to safely go underground in the first place.

If nobody has any opinions on it, I'll just go with whatever I feel like :)

Barky and Toby both seem to be the best bets for a starter on hard...

So that's one vote for Toby/Barky. Anybody have a second opinion? If not, I'll stick with one of those :)

It's a tradition to name one of my dogs Barky :)

Time to backup 2gb worth of worlds AGAIN....second time this month.

Oh well, looking forward to it, thankfully I'm going to bed so I can start the backups now and update in the morning....and begin the whole process of failing to install your mods again lol. For mods made to be compatible with BTW yours have given me more issues that using iffy ones and many of them.

Still looking forward to this. Not sure how soon I will step up for my turn as of yet, part of the reason I was iffy on joining was due to the fact I will be changing net companys and the current net will be off for 5 to 9 days before I get the new one....within the next 2 days. I will try to drop a warning here before I go down with an ETA of net returning. At least it gives me the time I will need to learn your DT mod that I havent done much with yet outside of 10 minutes of screwing around before putting my normal .jar back in and recording more for my lets play lol.

Alright, I started my turn this morning! Things are going pretty well so far, though don't have too high expectations for the appearance of our first "home" :)

I'll post the report when I finish up day 1 tonight.

Hey, is it too late for me to join? Sounds interesting. I'd probably be better off going in one of the later rounds, as I can never quite wrap my mind around this whole "food" concept.

Alright, I posted part 1, the download link is in the OP! It's a bit long, sorry, I like to make my reports a decent read :)

This is just as fun as I remembered it to be, and it'll only get more fun once more people start taking their turns!

I'd also appreciate any feedback on my log and the plot I ultimately decided on.

Thanks man, but no need to worry about training them up unless you want to :) my plan is to do most of the training myself, since it's generally what I'm best at. You know, sticking to your strengths so that you make the most of your time?

I usually sit around and build mob traps and farms and ect... Once we get BTW part up and running I've got some fun designs planned.

Sorry for the double post but Raust, are you playing with 1.2.3 or 1.2.4 cause the issue with 1.2.4 is that its not compatible with BTW yet...

Did you read my log? If not, I guess you wouldn't have seen the hemp I collected. No, 1.2.4 IS compatible with better than wolves, he released the update a few days ago :)
