How to wire a 3x3 floor of Hibachis?
Due to the code FC uses, most of the blocks in the mod are not registered as interactible with redstone, at least to the redstone. That means it will not "snap" to the block and deliver power to it, so if you want to power BTW blocks you have to have a line of redstone that leads to the block. Also, you cannot power a Hibachi with redstone current from below. Because of this, I can't figure out a good way to power a set of 9 Hibachis under my Stewing Pot. How can I rig redstone to trigger all 9 Hibachis and turn them on at once?

Well, thanks, I guess my problem was that I was being a cheap bastard and trying to use levers as my power source under the Hibachis. I'll try with RS torches instead.

And unlike my solution, one of the sides does not have any wiring. Great job!

Ha! I came in here and learned something, apparently the way I was doing it used 2x the amount of redstone and 2x the space aha XD
Re: How to wire a 3x3 floor of Hibachis?
Wow, that's awesome, I'll definitely be referring to this next time I wire some Hibachis.Samorost wrote:It is very simple :o)

Thanks everyone :o)
I devised a little bit space-compact and material-saving solution. You now need only 5 repeater.

And HOW!
Re: How to wire a 3x3 floor of Hibachis?
Wow, that looks soooo much neater than the ones I've seen. I know of one insanely neat way, but it involves wireless redstone :3 It's also much less resource efficient than yours since it requires 40 iron ingots, 40 redstone, 9 levers, and 1 redstone torch. Just put a transmitter under the lever and put a receiver under each hibachi.Samorost wrote:Thanks everyone :o)

This video shows both a resource saving one (Only 17 torches, instead of your 9 torches and 5 repeaters - 19 torches and a lot of stone).
The second is a lot more compact. So it uses 3 lens and 9 detector blocks! so what? :P

So is there any convincing reason to turn your hibatchi setup off?

Re: How to wire a 3x3 floor of Hibachis?
Because some people have crap comps and don't need that fire going all the time.TheAnarchitect wrote:So is there any convincing reason to turn your hibatchi setup off?
And samorost, I have always prided myself my restone wiring but....its not always compact, you have saved me ages of time, thank you sir, best part is hooking that up to a turntable for the bellows is simple as pie :D
Now I should be able to do this actualy over my underground farms without falling in.

The first thing that I drove myself mad trying to figure out how to do in BTW was a 3x3 Hibachi. This solution kicks the crap outta it. Nice job!
Because you can. On my first world, not only did I add a pointless switch to turn it on and off, but I synced the repeaters so each one turned on at the exact same time.DreamsofFury wrote:TheAnarchitect wrote:So is there any convincing reason to turn your hibatchi setup off?

Re: How to wire a 3x3 floor of Hibachis?
In a server with my friend I made a switch that opens or closes every single normal and piston door in my castle with around 126 or so of said doors......did it just to annoy my friend the host due to the error msgs he gets spammed with.....imagine the possibilities if BTW goes SMP compatible *insert evil laugh here* masses of fire messes with his ingame as well....I can imagine the fun I will have with him...."Here push this button, I promise this one wont kill you", and this wiring system makes that SOOOOOOO easy.Poppycocks wrote:I went as far as having a kill-all switch.TheGuy wrote:The first thing that I drove myself mad trying to figure out how to do in BTW was a 3x3 Hibachi.
