Morvy's Madness

Post by morvelaira »

Once upon a time, Morvy lived on her server with her friends. They built a lovely town, and all was well.

Then, one day, MORVY WENT MAD!!! She left out into the wilds, far from civilization. Try as they might with gifts of cake and flowers outside her door, they could not convince her to return.

Tired and alone, Morvy finally stopped running, and set up a small shack for the night.

To soothe her troubled mind, she started to dig...

And dig...

Oh my god what did she find?!

Stay tuned, to find out what I do with a 40x40 hole in the ground, all the way to bedrock! I have plans... yes, plans....

Update 1

Morvy looked at her gigantic hole in the ground. When she was done being awed by what she had accomplished in fits and starts and long grueling nights of labor and running from creepers, she felt a strong need to... safeguard something. What she did not know, but she gathered and formed the strongest material she knew (obsidian) into walls to protect it.

Whatever it was, nothing from the ground nor sides would attack her treasure. But how to access it herself? How to hide it from the world? These were questions for another day.

(Ok, so I used creative mode to put the bedrock in around the corners. So sue me.)

Oh morv, you have been quite busy, haven't you? I'm guess your triple bed arrangement wasn't working out anymore?

Maybe it's a server that's planning on having Buildcraft installed? *shifty eyes*

That, actually, was all done by hand over the last couple of weeks. Work's been busy and mining has always been a good way for me to relax at the end of the day. Now comes the fiddly part of actually building something. If it matches my mind, it will be epic. And maybe phallic if you look at it from the right angle.

Looking good morv, loving the town shots as well. Try to not fall in the lava though! =)

It's only about 100,000 blocks. I think madness occurs when you hit seven digits.

This looks like it could be interesting.

The very first time I played Minecraft I dug a quarry about that big, mine was 35x35. I turned most of the cobblestone back to smooth to make my castle. My brother thought I was out of my mind too. I do find it relaxing and even challenging to stream line how you mine everything and store it. I love it morvy. Can't wait to see what you put there!

Fill it full with obsidian?

It's always fun to leave obsidian walls in random places just to mess with people.

Dammit. Somebody beat me to it. Unless my mind's just automatically doing it's thing.

Anyways, that's... a very big hole, I'll be honest. I can't even being to comprehend what you're going to do with it. I am part fear and part excitement.

I will be sure to include a memorial shrine for him in the build somewhere. Maybe in the garden...

Is it socially acceptable if I make a jacket out of his skin? I mean, it's not like he'll be using it.

Right after using his soul to make armor and farming his crap in the last, dark, lonely moments of his life :D

Hmmmm...now for the tough balance questions:

If he voided his bowels during the last moments of his breath-holding life, should you be able to tan leather with it?
