If you're having problems with your installation of Better Than Wolves, or if you've woken up in the future and are beginning to doubt the nature of reality, here's the place to post about it.
Issue:
Night vision potions cause lower-lit regions to be red-shaded as intended, but when light levels reach the gloom point, a sharp cutoff is observed.

BTW version 4.99999A0Fb Marsupial!?!?, survival mode
Version 4.99999A0F Marsupial!?!?
-Changed the brightness of the changes I made to Hardcore of Darkness recently so that when Gloom isn't present, the overall brightness of the game should be much closer to what it is in vanilla (especially underground). In other words, things should appear a bit brighter in general now than they did in the past couple of releases, and the transition from normal lighting into Gloom, a bit more dramatic.
Turning on smooth lighting does ease the cutoff slightly.
I can also confirm the red overly only appearing in regular darkness. (this might be an intended design feature)
Using V4.99999A0Fb [Clean install].
Phantom screams echo through the ruined facility
A horrible silence builds an eerie tranquility
The souls of many innocent fill the air
The hope they all died with scattered down there
I can also confirm this. And no it is't intended afaik as when the night vision changes were first introduced, everything was red, and nothing in the patch notes reflected the change.
