1. What purpose does this serve?
2. The bug is game-breaking.
3. FC does not support non-standard gamemodes
4. Who even plays Mojang's hardcore mode? EDIT: Apart from the occasional player.

I play hardcore mode. Sparingly, yes, but I like playing a high stakes game sometimes.

Don't be silly man. Random bugs aren't balanced for any kind of gameplay, hardcore included. It wasn't designed to provide a challenge. It eats worlds with next to nothing you can do to prevent it.
