Just use your imagination....
Re: Who will be first?
While I'm no etymologist, I would say that "he" would be neutral, and everything is at first assumed male. Examples being "All men are created equal", "all mankind", etc.
What I'd love to know is where genders of inanimate objects come from... Like why are all boats automatically a "she"?

Re: Who will be first?
Because captains or in general sailors spent more time with their ships than their wives? So it would seem that they're married to their ship which would then have to be a "she", right?Triskelli wrote:Like why are all boats automatically a "she"?

Ahaa. Well, the movie is exactly what that would imply. Teeth. Watch it. Repress memories. :DFlowerChild wrote:Actually, I am not aware of any movie. I was referring to this:BinoAl wrote: God dammit. I had almost forgotten about that movie, too. xDDD

God, that movie was uncomfortable even for me to watch.

Right? On the bright side, my possibility of ever committing rape went from 0% to -9001%, so there's that.Miss_Kat wrote:God, that movie was uncomfortable even for me to watch.

On the topic of rape and dentata, they sell removable beartraps for women for that exact reason. It's hilarious, but at the same time, it's horrifying.BinoAl wrote:Right? Actually, the first thing that actually came to everyone's mind was that she forgot to take it out. Lulz ensue, and so does the surgical reattachment.BinoAl wrote:That could be bad. Angry ex trying to seduce you, anyone?

I know what you're talking about, but those were in no way being marketed towards western woman. There's no danger of an angry ex using one. They're specifically for women in places with extremely high rates of rape, like the Republic of Congo or South Africa.KWilt wrote:On the topic of rape and dentata, they sell removable beartraps for women for that exact reason. Unfortunately, as gang rape is pretty prevalent there, I don't think they'll do as much good as the makers hoped.
