Re: Using Mechanical Power to Extend Pistons
Yeah, I think the design philosophy for better than wolves is to encourage the sort of creativity that comes along with, as an example, piston creations (such as long/short clocks, memory circuits, etc.), but not to make it too easy. In my opinion, I have been frustrated several times with limitatio...

Re: .jar installer
heh I guess it acts a bit like an idiot test, although at the end of the day, the idiots just come to the forums complaining they don't know how to do it.
As for the actual question at hand, I am guessing its probably more work for the mod developer to add it in.

Re: less then 3 axle.. with weather detection..
Try typing out your problem a bit more coherently?
If they break regardless of rain, then you're using more than 3 axles in a row. Or maybe you're putting the gearboxes the wrong way?

Apparently blocking with a sword is intended to be timed to when the monsters attack you. But there are no attack animations, notch said they would add them in the future hopefully. However, I haven't tested it with arrows from a skeleton...

Think about it, whoever made the mineshaft did it to mine the ores. When they're mined they are gone.Urian wrote:I like that mineshafts have plenty of ore, it makes sense considering it's a mine :)

Re: Patch 1.8 is "leaked"
Do skeletons hit more damage? Because of bow pullback? They also seem more accurate, and overall pretty damn deadly now. After this I moved to creative, its much better for exploring. Not seen any snow, statistically means its not in this version (maybe a bug) Caves/mineshafts are kind of weird... p...

Re: Wybia bar on forum
Problem number 2 is that it's just the start. Next we'll have another little addon, or this little plugin, etc. Problem number 3 is its clutter. It's distracting and annoiyng. Yes it's small, but so are toolbars which you find (usually en masse) on certain people's computers which also drive me up t...

Re: Considering accepting donations
Are you sure that receiving donations will smooth over the annoyance you get, and will continue to get from these "self entitled children"? They will still be there, and as some people have pointed out, may even be spoilt self-entitled children, capable of donating and then pushing harder ...

Maybe it's the coffee adding overreactive rational to my list of perks this morning, but I'd like to point out that nobody has given a reason why the bars shouldn't be used other than they hate them. Do you do things you hate? I hate mushrooms. I don't eat them. They're good for me, but I still don...

haha gotta watch out for that! I'm currently making something vaguely similar, but I decided to do it in a perfectly flat sand area. Problem is the area wasn't all sand, nor perfectly flat. So lots of terraforming has ensued and there's lots to come... Either way I have a pre-automated hemp farm and...

Re: The Endermen come...
Thanks for the tip, the video pointed me in the right direction. Before I tried placing the water then deleting the block below it so it flowed in 2 directions, but now I use source blocks for every level of the elevator and it works :)

Re: The Endermen come...
I just tried to create the water-elevator part from the british design (EBB) with TMI but it doesn't work. You said 1.6 changed the functionality of the road... is there any workaround for the water elevator or is that now defunct?
