Chat troubles (within MC)
As this most likely concerns another mod I am using, I did not want to put this thread in the BTW tech support. Hence off topic. =) This morning I updated my Minecraft, with the Mcpatcher (the HD texture thingy). Through that I also updated modloader, mincraft forge, BTW, wireless redstone, singlepl...

Re: Fraps issue (low priority)
Battosay's answer most likely resolved it. :)
Fraps can only record programs that are started up after it, so you need to have Fraps running before starting up Minecraft. (Because of this, Fraps has a tickbox to "startup with windows").

Re: Battosay's video corner (Update 08/08: Elevator Tutorial
Something I was reminded of when you said in your LP that you don't like the sounds an active portal makes; Docm77 has in his world tour a method to automatically turn a portal on or off (in vMC) just by clicking a button. I'm a bit behind on his videos so I'm still looking if he's got a tutorial o...

Re: Castle Build - progress display [UPDATE: 05/08]
It is a block that takes redstone current (transmitter), and sends it to another block to receive it. (receiver). You can set those up with a number as well, up to 1000. So you can have 1000 different receivers/transmitters communicating with each other without interference from other setups. If you...

Re: Castle Build - progress display [UPDATE: 05/08]
For that I cheat... I use the Wireless Redstone to send signals between things. For example from my detector blocks to the pulley circuit, and the buttons to the flipflop, and the output from that to the main gearbox. I wont have this in my future multiplayer server with BTW, so from that point on e...

Re: Castle Build - progress display [UPDATE: 05/08]
Let's see if I can try and explain this. :) Up and down movement: At the top of my elevator is the "main gearbox". That gearbox is connected to a T-flipflop to turn off/on. Every level has a button connected to the T-flipflop so I can push it at ever level (if I want to) to change the outp...

Shameless self bump... but with a reason! :) I am now keeping my map uploaded as up to date as my videos, so almost on a daily basis. Whenever I make changes, I will upload it as well. Re: I hate cave systems
I am playing a non BTW multiplayer world with a friend, without any addons, and just dug into a huge cave complex as well. Was awesome, found a zombie spawner which immediately made me think of cool ways to kill them.. then I realized I don't have BTW :P I am having so much fun building my castle, b...

Does not have to be big. You can place a block of wood, and put the panels and mouldings around it. Put remove the block you placed inside and put water in it instead. :)Stormweaver wrote:You can make a nice looking well with the panels and molding anyways. it's a bit big, but looks nice.

Re: Ultra compact flip flop with BD
It took me such a long time to figure out the timings on the piston at the bottom, to stop the water from dropping stuff underneath the platform but still have it connected to the platform so it goes in a loop as well. :P But it works! It shall not be touched again ^_^

Most certainly. :)
I don't really show it in great detail though, but I can do another video of it if requested:

Thanks for the discussion here all, using these designs with the BD (solid/glass, redstone) with my upwards item lift to time it all etc. Works like a charm!! =)

I am really looking forward to it, avid diablo fan. :) Regarding the online only thing: well, that is just how games go these days. In order for Blizzard to offer the best game experience, updates and whatnot, they need you to connect to their battle.net system. Internet is becomming very common the...

Welcome! :)
I am happy to hear you enjoy the mod like myself and the others here! :)
Your windmill does look pretty epic, you got the "measurements" just right as well (the size of the windmill itself in combination with the windmill structure). well done! =)

Although this in itself has not much to do with the cutting of trees, it could be connected after the cutting part to saw the blocks up. I am really quite proud of this setup!! :)

Re: BTW Community Castle (v1.6 - 26/07)
So, I'm about 2/3 through my build. I'd probably be done by now if the molds and corners decided to place where I want them to. Yeah, my last video update of my castle build is pretty much just me trying to place the molds and corners at a certain angle and ripping stuff up beside it to get them to...

As mentioned by others as well, the MOD is amazing. It breathes life back into Minecraft and the community around it as well. As the others have said so far: a break once in a while is not a bad thing at all. :) In fact, as you noticed yourself already by playing Civ, taking a break often sparks up ...

Hmm... did anybody say "Let's run a minecart railway through a town and see if my empty minecarts pick up villagers and run them into that cool Slaughterhouse"? :DUrian wrote:Not really. Notch has said that the NPCs in the village can be either helped or attacked and they will respond in kind.

I possible Barn/shed to put wolves in. Re: Castle Build - progress display [UPDATE: 27/07]
That is actually how I had it initially, but I felt it was too cluttered with all the spoilers and embed's in it. :) The other options was to have 1 spoiler with all the embeds in it, but that could potentially cause latency troubles for those with a dodgy connection. Hence I went with links, can cl...
