Re: Using a different game directory for BTW
I remember having this issue as well when I tried using a different folder for my BTW saves, and I couldn't figure it out.. sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't and just showed the saves in the default folder. I just ended up going back to keeping them in the default folder, since I pretty m...

Ooh, nice! It's been a while, but this might just have to be the time I get back into MC/BTW again.
Thanks for the update! Glad to see the best mod ever is still alive and well :)

Man, I start slacking about checking the forum and I totally miss a new version (or two) being released! :P
These changes look like they should be lots of 'fun' ;)
I'll just have try to find the time to test them out..

Re: This mod is still as awesome as ever!
Life's been kind of busy, and I haven't played MC (with or without BTW) for quite some time, but like many others I also still check these forums most every day. I'd been noticing things have been rather quiet lately.. I think the number of entries on the active topics page was the lowest I'd seen i...

Re: Started work on a "game"
List of stuff I tried to no success: Checking the file in a hex editor. Checking for Morse code - I think it isn't; there's no space between the "dots", and no "stroke". And that noise in the middle is weird, it isn't really Morse. Spectrogram - nothing. I don't know if the fact...

Have you tried BTW v 2.94? I think that's the last one for beta 1.7.3, since the changelog for version 2.95 says updated to beta 1.81

Stephen Colbert weighs in on the trailer:

Seems FC had the same basic idea as Colbert about the side blades continuing underneath.

Re: clear glass
do i have to load btw through mcpatcher or can i just install btw into the jar like i have been and use mcpatcher just for the tp? Installing BTW first and then using mcpatcher might work, but I don't know for sure. I think that worked in the past, but a bunch of stuff has changed since the new lau...

A random quote that really fits with BTW
Scrolling down my FB newsfeed, I saw this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11826512/GKCquote.jpg and it struck me that it fits really well with the philosophy of BTW. Sure, it may be inconvenient that you have to find nine blocks of ore for each iron ingot, or that you have to find a populated village befor...

Re: clear glass
Yeah, CTM is what you want in this case, as it will get rid of the borders between adjacent glass blocks in texturepacks that support it. Fortunately, MCPatcher is pleasantly easy to use with the new launcher, so getting CTM installed isn't hard. Not only that, but using MCPatcher to install other m...

Re: Big hole in the world
In my experience, MCEdit is almost completely friendly with mods, except that it doesn't correctly calculate light levels where non-vanilla light sources are being used, and it has also been known to make BTW windmills not move until replaced in-game. All mod blocks will appear as blank purplish blo...

Re: Items after death
Ah that sucks, why should stuff made out of stone and iron just disappear. Basically, because this is Minecraft, not real life. Stone and iron don't just disappear in real life, but in Minecraft, stone and iron in item form are no different than any other items, and all items in Minecraft are unsta...

Re: How to turn all Youtube embedded videos into plaintext l
Just a quick question as to the script, what does it do when it encounters a link that is not in plaintext but hidden behind another layer of text. Ex; here is a video that is 'hidden' behind a bit of text. I just installed the second script (which is really awesome btw, thanks for sharing!), and w...

I've gotten really far, but the save button hasn't worked correctly for me, as in it appears as a button, but trying to click it produces no visual effect, and refreshing simply wipes my save to square 0. Any tips? Click on the links on the save page, for whichever slot you saved on, e.g. http://ca...

Re: RTH Q&A thread
Something that I really like in BTW is the klin, which works like a fournace but it's made from simple blocks that gains new functions depending on their context (or the new piston packaging, for the matter). The question is, do you plan on expanding and developing those kind block interaction in R...

You never cease to amaze me with the things you come up with to make Minecraft so much better. It gets to a point where I think there's no way that there could be anything major left to add or change that you haven't already added or changed, and then you hit us with something like this. Bravo, sir,...
