Re: Skyrim
Heh... speak of the devil. Would you look at what I found today: http://members.ziggo.nl/t.vandenadel/ohhellyes.png This made my day not only because of nostalgia, but also because I'm a huge Dwemer nerd. They're by far the most interesting thing in the ES lore, IMO. . . . But then again, it's a que...
Re: Skyrim
Nah, you're not. MW was a pretty niche game, while Oblivion sold countless millions. And again, it's not like I didn't enjoy the game (I must've put at least 100 hours into it, though mostly because of various mods that "fixed" the leveling system), but I was expecting something else... wh...

Re: M!C's News Compilation
I actually find it slightly ironic that Notch comments on something like this, even though he's cracking masturbation jokes on his blog. I guess the two aren't entirely comparable, but still. Anyway, apparently the first thing they're going to to once they're back is stamping out bugs. You'd think t...
Re: Skyrim
Yes, by leaps and bounds, or at least more enjoyable. And yes, I know I'm probably in the minority as far as that is concerned. [warning: rant] It's hard to put into words. I felt Morrowind simply had more "soul" than Oblivion, which felt very empty and bland to me. And that's without goin...
Re: Skyrim
the problem comes when you look at enchanting and combine that with alchemy. That has been an issue in every single ES game that I know of :p At least from MW onwards. I remember making potions that boosted stats into the 1000s for literally in-game weeks, together with CE items that turned you per...

Re: Best way to enjoy Better Than Wolves?
Recipe book: you will never play Minecraft without it again! Honestly, it only works when you're playing vanilla or small mods. Right now, I'm playing with a mixture of several different large mods, and my CraftGuide book (improved version of the recipe book) has over 3600 pages, with 6 recipes on ...

Re: Epic setting in next release :)
My guess: no more wooden log harvesting with your fists but leaves have % chance to drop either sapling or stick(s) thus requiring the use of axes/saws to chop down trees. Doubtful. That would only affect the first 5 minutes of the game, at best. No, I suspect it's something far more fundemental. P...

Re: Poll: Do you wear Glasses/Contact Lenses
Glasses.
Not only have I been wearing them since I was three and I would feel "naked" without them, I've also been told that I would have to wear such thick contacts that they would actually do more harm than good.
Not to mention glasses are far cheaper.

Re: Annoying and repetitive task ?
Maybe it's just my compulsive need to restart my worlds regularly that causes this, but I've gotten so annoyed with chopping down trees recently. That's where the "Timber!" mod comes in. I can't even imagine playing without it anymore. But as for me, most annoying task? I actually like th...

Re: Unable to dye sails
You have to apply the dye directly to the actual windmill itself, like you would dye a sheep. So try right-clicking one of the sails while holding a dye, that should work.
*edit*
Just tried it on my own windmill, still works.

Re: Hand cranks using up stamina/food
Yeah, that's more or less what I'd figured. A couple of forum searches didn't turn up anything however, and looking through the "official" MC forum is like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach.Battosay wrote:It's already been mentioned somewhere, and I think FC agreed.

Re: Any decent Anime/Manga/Any comic in general
- Love Hina (Harem. Not exactly a deep plot , but it evolves well and the fanservice isn't overdone) I would actually like to disagree with this, although I might be biased as Love Hina is probably one of my favorite series. While I agree that LH story isn't "deep" per-se, the character d...

Re: Seeds and BTW
I started up a new world yesterday, with the seed "Morrowind". I ended up on a forest-biome island, with a pine-forest biome not too far away on boat, so plenty of wolves to be found to get your tech tree up and running. It also has a small lava lake and a small water lake right next to ea...

Re: Hand cranks using up stamina/food
The only one I know of is, indeed, the saw. But for me at least, the saw sees a lot less use than the mill stone. Or at least, it used to. This is the first time I have played BTW since the last major re-balance update, so please excuse me if it seems like I'm talking out of my rear end here. So yes...

Re: Thank you Flower Child
While it may look like I'm just jumping on the bandwagon now, I feel I must express my sincere appreciation for FlowerChild and his work as well. Not to mention his amazing ability to cope with all the drama that often accompanies internet fame. I probably would have called it quits a long time ago....

Hand cranks using up stamina/food
While I am pretty sure this is already on the to-do list for the 1.8+ rebalance update(s), I thought I'd mention it anyway: I think it would be fairly interesting, as well as more realistic, if using hand cranks used up your stamina (ie: food bar). After all, using these things is a fairly physicall...

Re: better than wolves in vanilla?
I think a better question is: Do we even want BTW to be in vanilla MC? FlowerChild would lose a lot of freedom of where he can go with the mod. The Companion Cube will have to be scrapped, for one, and possibly the whole wolf dung thing. In fact, if I recall correctly, FC mentioned this in that one ...
