Some Compatibility would be nice....
This is my opinion, and am stating it in hopes others may agree and that flowerchild may do so. I play with a lot of forge mods because of the utility and versatility they bring to the game, but I would have to say I miss BTW. I know that eloraam is copying a lot of ideas and is one reason flowerchi...

Re: Redstone eye and detector blocks not craftable...?
-Changed the name of Polished Lapis to the "Redstone Eye", moved its recipe to the Anvil, and changed the recipe to require 5 pieces of lapis (top and middle rows), one piece of gold (middle square), and one piece of redstone dust (bottom row) to produce 2 eyes. Just checking that you hav...

Redstone eye and detector blocks not craftable...?
Okay, went hunting for Lapis lazuli for 4 hours, finally found some to get to the crafting table and find out that neither the redstone eye or old versions of detector block are craftable (i get the detector reason, just roll with me). Put the 5 lapis in the helmet config, gold ingot in the middle, ...

Re: Cable or hanging rail car
The rail way would still need a new block type, or editing of the old one, and, with BTW now linked with forge, there really isnt an ID limit any more . FALSE So it would have the limit per mod still? Because how magusunion make it sound in his video, you can go above and beyond the block ID limit ...

Re: Spawning bugs
Read through this topic and had a question about a spawning bug my self... Cows... hundreds of them, almost only cows too. spent 30 mins walking around killing cows, the only other passive mob that spawned (other than squid) were 3 chickens during the entire search. I have lead the problem back to p...

Re: Cable or hanging rail car
Doesn't sound to bad to me . It would require mechanical power and span mountains. there are some legalistically problems thought. 1) how would would you connect the wire from tower to tower. 2) How would you handle angles. ( like going up or Down ). 3) Would the user control direction and speed. O...

Re: Cable or hanging rail car
@sargunster - Mainly, it would be something you stand in, not have to get in necessarily, and that it would be on a rope/cable (e.i. something that you cant or is very hard to walk on). If you could walk on the cable/rope for this idea steve could pick up tight rope walking XD @stormweaver - if such...

Cable or hanging rail car
Just found an epic site in a map, but was thinking, "It would be nice if there were cable cars or something similar to span the gaps that were there". Now you may say, "whats wrong with the mine cars and rails", but it doesnt seem to fit here. I love the elevator and it would mak...

Re: BTW and Nature Overhaul?
If you look through the NO thread you'll see where I had posted these questions to Clint. The ru.class is simply a new feature that Clint added to make tall grass spread. Use BTWs until you at least get enough hemp seeds. of if you don't care about all that tall grass. The yq.class is a feature you...

Re: BTW and Nature Overhaul?
Use MCP to decompile the class files into java and to recompile them once you are done. This is the program Flowerchild uses to make the mod. Thank you for the advice in programs. As for the other two posts (and I dont mean to be rude, I literally dont understand), I understand not distributing the...

this topic has my interest as well.
Has anyone tried to make a hybrid ru or yq .class?
I would take a crack at it in Jgrasp but i dont know how to convert to and from the .class. If you guys can help me with that, I'll share that hybrid and keep making more to repay for the help

Re: Boring Machine
Yeah, like i said, was thinking it was a long shot. My next base I plan to have multiple main shafts and was thinking, "hey this would be cool, but..."
Edit: I guess that base can wait, just got an urge to build a base on a mountain that has a mine elevator sticking out over a cliff, lol

Boring Machine
This is a long shot idea, but what about a boring machine that is lowered by the pulley system. A 5x5 windmillish looking device (same size as the largest elevators to my knowledge) that digs a main elevator shaft and could be easily replaced by platforms to make an elevator quickly. I make a lot of...

Re: Vertical Windmill
Forgive me if I sound harsh, but is another source of mechinical power really needed? No, just a variation to the windmill to make it more versatile and or a different look. It would be crafted the same and work the same. How you place it though determines the look edit: its the same windmill, it j...

Vertical Windmill
Was thinking of this a little ago. There was a windmill in an age of empires game that spun on a vertical axle. It would be cool to see this as an alternate set up for the windmills. Like say it was place on a horizontal axle, its the normal windmill. But if placed on a vertical axle it has a vertic...
