Re: Craftguide - Better Than Wolves Fix
I vaguely remember CraftGuide having an issue where the compass and clock items would point in the correct direction. It made it really easy to cheat and peek at the compass upon a respawn. If that issue is still around, could you stop the compass and clock from updating in the CraftGuide interface?

Re: Does anyone else use stakes?
Other than for counting blocks, what do you use them for?

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
Something that unlocks progressively somehow and helps incorporate other aspects of the mod (like filters and buoyancy) would be neat. Using a wiki isn't great for immersion, but man, I find that digging through menus just totally breaks the connection the player has with crafting in older versions...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
*I've always wanted a BTW-style Craftguide-like system for keeping track of recipes in-game, as opposed to tabbing out to the wiki or wherever Uristqwerty has a released version of CraftGuide which is still compatible with BTW (I use it in my current play because I have so many segfaults in my brai...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
Other random ideas: Increase bare-handed breaking speed of Companion Cube and make it directly enter the inventory of the breaker. This gives it a use as a way to renewably scale 2 block high ledges. It also means I can subject it to a lifetime of scuffing my boots on its head. Make ice more slipper...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
Newly registered, but I've been playing and browsing the forums sporadically for a few years. I'll start by echoing magikeh - MCPatcher is a nightmare. I can't play MC without Better Grass, antialiasing, and mipmapping, so I'm stuck with it. Incorporating those features somehow would make a gargantu...

Re: CTM Vanilla
Sorry for the Necro. But I haven't been able to find this anywere else and the link is not working. Do you still have this? Oh man, Dropbox changed all the things around. Thanks for picking up on that. New link is Here , I've updated the OP too. When it asks you to login there is a way to bypass in...

Re: BTW Beginner's guide on Wiki (Help needed)
I think a page is needed to describe the nether fortress and respawn point tracking effects of soul sand piles. I'll try to do it myself if I find the time.

Re: Form vs function in early-mid-late game
Do you wait for diamond tools alone, or diamond tools + stoked crucible? Heh. :) No, I wait for full recycling. I chuckled only because I recognize the ridiculousness of my own OCD. By "aesthetic build" I also incorporate very Large-scale terraforming. My bases end up looking like a Strat...

Re: Form vs function in early-mid-late game
You see I slap a mill stone in the most practical (ugly) place I can find for it, then once I have a crucible and renewable tools I might go back and make a proper windmill or something like that. I like stone brick for most of my structures, and I just can't justify spending coal/wood/time on furn...

Re: Form vs function in early-mid-late game
I mainly build for function in the very early game, it feels impractical to do otherwise. However I hate it and as soon as I have enough iron for about 2-3 picks, after about two in game weeks, I'll start up on the aesthetics. Aesthetics to me are as important as the functional elements, often I'll...

Re: Form vs function in early-mid-late game
I just started a new save, barely have anything other than a dirt hovel to show, so no pictures.
Interesting that you go for aesthetics pretty early on. I agree with kazerima, things start off rough and I never wind up tidying things.

Form vs function in early-mid-late game
Does anyone else ignore the aesthetics of their structures until mid to late game? I have a lot of trouble getting myself to make a base look nice in the early to early-mid game. I know I'm going to have mass-produced aesthetic blocks and cheap diamond tools (using the crucible) later on, so why bot...

[GUIDE] MultiMC and MCPatcher (with working Better Grass!)
Installing Better Than Wolves in MultiMC with MCPatcher Things you'll need: Legacy Minecraft Launcher - select the option for the older windows version. Better Than Wolves MultiMC MCPatcher 5.0.2 We use 5.0.2 of MCPatcher instead of 5.0.3 because the latest version apparently causes some issues wit...
