OPEN VOICE
Hey guys, Just read about the finacial discussion in the USA and thought about, what's the peoples opinion there? So with this idea I want to start this tread that people from the world can talk and discuss about >political decisions, world news, masters and disasters< their personal opinion or view...

Re: Minecraft Forge - do we need it?
To put things together a last time: I never played or heared about a game like minecraft, where you can use different mods together. My experience showed me, that if you want to play a mod you search your favourite and let's go and for a second mod you have another link-exe. nothing depends on othe...

Re: Minecraft Forge - do we need it?
Rope from different mods does different things. The zipline mod has some basic physics, can be walked on, etc. The rope from BTW is only for climbing and pulleys (so far). I don't like the idea of forcing modders to use one, standardized rope. that was just an example because I read it just a minut...

Re: Minecraft Forge - do we need it?
Make it bigger! Maybe a seperate forum just for modders where they can post their actuall work, which .class files the use and I don't know what else with the sense that modders can talk together how to solve such problems like incompability. Like the suggestion at the BTW and IndustrialCraft: both ...

Minecraft Forge - do we need it?
Hey guys, yesterday Minecraft Forge was released and maybe FlowerChild can use it for a more compatible version with other mods... http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/514000-api-minecraft-forge/ The modding community of minecraft is, for me, the fastest growing I've ever seen, so if we don't pull to...

Here are some screenshots of how I imagine a sliding platform... (the axles from the pulley to the anchors should be ropes) http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/9144/29452935.jpg http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/9940/49887086.jpg And an example of how you can use it (here like a quarry to pull up bloc...

a horizontal sliding platform
hey guys! First a short explanation: build a track off ice on the ground let's say 3 blocks wide and 12 blocks long. Than build on one end a 3x3 platfrom and on the ice-looking-away-side place an anchor but instead on the top you (should) can place it on the side (end wall; I hope you understand wha...

incompatibility with the "Piston-Patch"
It's me again, with a slightly different problem... The bug (http://www.sargunster.com/btwforum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=251), that the detector doesn't react with the minecart, doesn't exist anymore since 2.71, but as I thought before, the ---> jq.class <--- file conflict with the "Piston-Patch...

Re: detector and (flying) minecarts
Because it's not the only mod I use I looked it up by my self... it's the jq.class which matches with the jq.class file from the piston-patch from Hippoplatimus.... EDIT: Because the piston patch isn't essential for me I deleted it, but the bug still exists. I looked up all other mods I use and ther...

detector and (flying) minecarts
I noticed during reworking my automated minecart-station, that if you shoot your minecart up in the air, the detectorblock don't react to the minecart. I tried around and found out, that the detector only react on falling down minecarts! As you can see in the second pic, its at the moment when the m...

Re: Unofficial Suggestions List
Hey guys, what about something like a magnet! Powered by axels (and no, it's no generator!!) turn it on or off and with a lever you can switch between plus (+) --> means the magnet attract iron things and minus (-) --> means the magnet push off iron things useful for: *speed up/break minecarts or pu...

Suggestion: OpenCraft as a new way how to craft objects... what means "Open" ?? --> means that you DON'T need a crafting table! but more something like a GLUE! like slime My idea is, that for example you place a block of stone than put on one side the slime (this should look like the slime...

Re: from hopper to minecart
Does the minecart occasionally get stuck? If its not positioned exactly on the extended piston directly over the hole then it won't fall since it will 'catch' on the blocks around it. As Urian said, just put some powered rails before the piston and after the piston a detector-block to stop it an st...

I know "steam" is not THE new idea... but what I miss is a good usage for it, because just to convert to mechanical power aaa..no i think on page 5 or so was the suggestion of pipes to transport items (water pipes with pumps) and therefore would fit steam very well! You need the hitatchi a...

Re: from hopper to minecart
there is a much easier way to use the hopper with a minecart! use an exteded piston, on which the minecart can stop, above the hopper and a detector block to check if a minecart is positioned on the extended piston. If a minecart stops on the piston, the hopper start to fill in items. Then first the...
