Re: A Message For The Community
I have been playing this mod on-and-off since early 2012 when I was only 13 years old, so it's fair to say it's been a big part of my life. I was definitely too young to follow the stringent forum rules back then and understandably I was eventually banned :P When I opened this account I was pretty s...

Placing crude torch on leaves crashes game
Trying to fire up a path through a jungle has now crashed my game twice. Placing (crude) torches on leaves seems to be the cause. --- BEGIN ERROR REPORT d36c7e69 -------- Full report at: C:\Users\erikb\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\crash-reports\crash-2020-06-25_11.39.14-server.txt Please show that fil...

Stone walls
Why can I make stone walls from moss cobble stone but not regular (loose) cobble stone? It seems odd to lock something as simple as a cobble stone wall behind near-end game tech (Unless there is another way of obtaining mortared cobblestone than silktouch/block dispenser). Surely, you don't need to ...

Ah I see! Is there any way for me to change this manually? I can't say I'm experienced with modding nor working with texturepacks

Re: [32x] Conquest v2.5 BTW 4.B0000002 with Deco and Astrolabe
I have noticed that vinetraps are white. I am using MCPatcher and have tried reinstalling, but I can't find a fix. Do you have any idea what is going on? :)

Loving the changes! Is there an easy way to change the mountain biome grass texture to be more green, for example like the Plains colour?

Re: MCPatcher issues
I have tried to mess around with the lighting options- to no avail unfortunately. For some reason "Smooth lighting: Minimum" works fine.
Would you mind describing in more detail how you fixed the texture pack problem? I don't think I quite follow :)

MCPatcher issues
I used ElectroBots guide to download (redownload) MCPatcher after a long break. I have two issues: First, On launch MCPatcher seemed to work fine, but the lighting effect is completely screwed Screenshot below https://imgur.com/a/q4gDDzK Second, if I switch to a texturepack (like Mesh's John Smith),...

Weird chunk error
I've been playing on this world for half a year without problems. Then suddenly (in what I presume to be freshly loaded terrain after dying), I come across a long chain of chunks where all the trees are cut off. Is this something that I can fix? Will it continue on forever? Does it mean my world is ...

Re: [32x] Mesh's John Smith/Conquest Mix
Although I've been using your great texture pack for years, I have only just noticed that the candle texture (block) doesn't work for me- it's just the vanilla version. Any idea why?

Increasing render distance
Is there a way to increase the render distance with some simple file editing without running into compatibility issues?
I hope this is the right place to post this :)

Mcafee killed me
As I was sitting around in mountain base waiting for dawn, I came I across the famous the video "How to uninstall McAfee Antivirus" by the legend himself. While I was watching him sniffing snow and licking feet I heard the sound of a torch going out. Also all my ovens had just finished. An...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Came across a critique of Minecraft and where it's been heading, which is very rare to see on YouTube. Link in the spoiler.
Apparently you are now punished for sleeping. Mojang actually punishes you for not skipping one of the only challenges left in the game. Wow.

Re: Game of Thrones Ending
The season was entertaining as hell; the soundtrack and spectacle better than ever.
The writing, however, went down the shitter and the character development of Danny and others was really rushed.

Game of Thrones Ending
Needless to say, spoilers abound. My first thoughts having just finished: Considering the absolute travesty that has been season 8, I think the finale decent, although I would've preferred something a darker/bitter sweet. It's clear that George RR Martin has been at least somewhat involved here. Out...

Shiftclicking bucket into lava
When caving near lava I often sneak to avoid accidentally killing myself. In an attempt to extinguish lava I have now lost t̶w̶o̶ three invaluable buckets by placing them either directly into the lava or by placing them on a wall or ceiling above the lava, dooming the poor bucket.

It seems to have worked... Except the sound doesn't work anymore XD (likewise for installing without MCPatcher for me). However, I should probably start a new thread about that :)

Re: MCPatcher problem and proxy settings
I tried installing BTW with MCPatcher on my shitty laptop and it worked just fine. Oddly enough the mcpatcher-legacy.json wasn't even installed in .minecraft, so not sure why I suddenly need it. I have even tried deleting everything inside the minecraft directory and starting over from scratch, but ...

Re: MCPatcher problem and proxy settings
Already tried it - doesn't work. Weird thing is a friend of mine, who just installed BTW with MCPatcher and got it to work without problems, doesn't even have the legacy file within his .minecraft.
Very frustrating that this started out of nowhere - Yesterday MCPatcher was working fine
