Re: Doki Doki Literature Club
I absolutely loved playing through DDLC. Those eyes though... you know, those ones? They almost gave me nightmares.
Netblast
There's this small game called Netblast that I play. It's a 2d shooter that currently has about 60 people in the community, judging from the discord server (check it out if you want: https://discord.gg/8jkZMtQ). I certainly enjoy the game, and thought some of you guys might as well. The devs host to...

Re: Lost-Pirate: A Co-Op Server
I would like to apply! 1. Shadowhawk36 2. I love BTW because it reminds me of the good old days of gaming. Challenge results in accomplishment. That's what BTW does best. Also, I understand mechanics a good amount, but suck at implementing it into gameplay :P 3. Yes, and I agree with all of them. P....

Re: Amalga: Co-op survival “Do you believe in life after spa
Decided to give this a try :D 1. Shadowhawk36 2. I have gotten to late Crucible level on my main BTW world, and know some recipes, building strategies (if that even makes sense), and mechanics quite well. I don't play on servers very often, as I have dial-up at home*. 3. On a scale where 1 means new...

Re: BTW Playing Habits
I tend to listen to podcasts, as it's nice and keeps me focused on the game without me only having to listen to the horrid sounds of my 2x2 hole of 100+ chickens. Most of the time I turn it off while I'm caving or am out at night, as you never know when somethi- SSSSSSS *BOOM*

Re: How to Gain Courage to Progress
I'm liking all this stuff :D I'm going to try and automate some things, and just mess around with building a mob trap. Hopefully I can find some little hints on the internet, but I'll leave the actual designing fun to myself ;) But for now, I must head to the Nether. Wish me all luck trying to find ...

I absolutely love their use for that, but I feel as if the making of one is so daunting. Anyone have any good hints for as to h...

How to Gain Courage to Progress
Hello all you guys. I've just been wondering, how do you all personally gain the strength, courage, and incentive to progress in BTW? I always feel like when I get to somewhat mid-game, with renewable iron/diamond tools, and a good source of renewable food, wood, and other supplies, that there is no...

Re: Launcher is closing when starting game
Make sure you install using the method for the new launcher (found on the wiki). The old method won't work. And Sarudak is correct with the above. When someone says "I installed correctly", you can be pretty certain they didn't ;) That assumption is pretty much what gets them into trouble...

Launcher is closing when starting game
When I press play on the launcher, the launcher just closes without anything happening. There is no error report. The launcher doesn't even change to the game. Instead, it just closes like it would when opening the game. Instead, nothing happens. I checked the Task Manager, and nothing is in process...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
Dial-up in 2013? Wow. Recent surveys in my country revealed that about 1 person in 10,000 still was on dial-up. I feel for you :( If you listen to the recent news in the US, there are "studies" by "professionals" stating that around 30% are still using dial-up (FOX news reported...

Re: I don't get it
Some tips: * Use wood logs and planks as fuel, not coal. Most wood burns just as good as coal. (some are better and some are far worse) Coal should be used for torches only with rare exceptions, as the recipe for torches now yields only 1 torch. * As mentioned before, don't sprint or jump a lot. Was...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
There's a couple of tools floating around, but here's what I do: 1. Get Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 LTS: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop Well shit bro, 700 megabytes? I appreciate the trustworthy method, but my internet is dial-up that downloads about 3 kilobytes every couple of seconds. That round...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
As a test, I borrowed my friend's computer and tested the commands. Try the first command, minus the second argument (/D y); the prompt is for multiple files/folders in conjunction with /R (recursive), which goes down the child folders and modifies them. Just tried it, came up with "ERROR: The...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
I know this seems like a stupid question, but where would I take ownership of it? As in, would I use the command console, properties, or some form of anything like that? Sorry for being dumb at this stuff, guys. I try :P Trust me, it is not a stupid question. I volunteer at my old high school as an...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
This is likely an NTFS permissions issue. As an administrator, take ownership of the file. Then, give yourself "full control" permission. Then delete the file. 2. Mount your hard drive either via the file manager, or terminal using "sudo mount /dev/sdXY /mnt" Just to point out, ...

Re: A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
Sorry for the long delay of a response, shouldn't happen again. I'll add a picture shortly, but I'll just answer most of your questions before then so this can be resolved quicker. Helpful information to include with this would be: * What is the file called? * Does anything at all visibly happen whe...

A weird missing file on my computer (Ghost File?)
Hey, I need some general tech support from you guys. On my Windows 7 computer, I've had this sort of 'ghost file' that has been present on my computer for about a year now. It's really peculiar. It was made in my Minecraft directory, and is unable to be deleted, copied, or anything of those sorts. I...

Re: The Shaft Podcast
Sorry about that Sarudak, should have known better. Thanks for telling me :) I've heard of them, but the constant advertisements they spew just turned me off. I get that they've got sponsors, but usually it's the kind of thing you put in at the start/end of the show. Yeah, I know what you mean, it's...
