Re: HC Hunger in Creative mode

Re: HCH is going vastly improve the future of automated farm

i do agree with you here, but there seems that there is no way to proper detect the full growth stage of potatoes and carrots using a BD. in my testing sometimes a carrot will grow two stages at once or in close succession and the growth recorder would detect only once thus closing the cycle. for w...

Re: Which is harder: Desert or Tundra?

tundra biome is the hardest. snow fall, snow removal low amount of trees and if you spawn in the middle of it most of the other biomes are a day trek.

ok looks like the kebab don't need the mushroom, you can craft it without it and you can't craft it using mushrooms(maybe a bug?) and according to my mining charges, when you are down to one heart you cant even see what is next to you, and 3 or less hearts steve will make "hurt" noises wh...

Re: Early game in BTW with HC Hunger

fishing and killing animals is the way to go until you have a good amount of food for traveling. finding a village is very important now as there is no way to have wheat in good amounts. even then wheat farming is tedious as the seed drops are nerfed. ( may be better with some fortune tools). i did ...

Re: Tree Farm Questions...

the lowest oak tree that can grow is six blocks high. 4 for the logs and 2 for the leaves. post a picture of your setup so we can give proper response. also oak trees don't grow in a tunnel like setup they need air blocks around

to the OP if the mojang team can give you a parent some kind of parental controls when setting up a realm it may be good, if not it's just the same old server thing.

Bonemealed planter doesn't revert to normal planter

http://imageshack.us/a/img145/1680/20130313113811.jpg the planter in this setup doesn't update when carrots grow at last stage if it's moved by a piston or sucked in by a BD. sorry for the misinformation and your spent time FC, i wasn't aware that my setup got the crops before fully grown. the plan...

Re: Noir's Designs and Videos (Illogically Compact!)

i have included a new carrot or potatoes farm with bonemeal to speed the growth rate. http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/2835/20130312114335.jpg edit i post here a variant with a piston. it seems that the above mechanism has a chunk bug placement where the planter BD doesn't spit out the carrots or po...

testing was done with latest mcpatcher vanilla textures btw versions 4.59 4.58 4.57 4.56 4.52 same map. 50 villagers nearby no recording test there was no significant drop or gain switching the versions. there is a significant drop of performance when watching versus a wall of item frames. biggest F...

Also PvP, although as I mentioned earlier, they basically made the trapped chests obsolete as soon as they implemented them by having comparators measure inventory contents. The difference between having a trap go off when you open a chest, versus when you remove an item from it, is negligible, mak...

Re: Noir's Designs and Videos (Illogically Compact!)

the carrots potatoes farm doesn't work in game as there isn't enough time for crops to drop. they remain over the planter thus negating the farming. i'm testing ATM a new setup. edit this would work. the upper BD is filled with 7 block redstone dust block http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5748/2013...

Re: Animal pens [Designs for fun, and more knowledge]

I'm generally careless with my animal pens and just make a big box with a fence. I employ daily bloody massacres to avoid overcrowding, and I always plan to upgrade to an auto-breeding factory when I have the time/resources. Although I did this in Renewablock to keep the pesky brats from moving, gl...
