Re: Exapunks
Grabbed the early access version. Runs really well, no glaring bugs noticed on a full playthrough. If you liked TIS-100 and Shenzhen I/O, you'll like it. It's probably a little more acessable than TIS-100, but not by much (watch someone play before you buy). The singleplayer campaign was about 20 ho...

Re: Version 4.AAAAAAAAAAHHHH Spoilers in Spoilers
Regarding the spider change in AABABABA Seems like if they spit their web, they won't drop string when killed, otherwise they will always drop 1 string? Sounds about right. They also only ever spit one web, making it significantly rarer which kinda makes sense since it's meant to be a bottleneck. H...

Re: [SPOILERS] One week of hell (Tips and suggestions of 4.A
The first Day/Night The first day is pretty set in stone as far as I've experienced it - Punch a tree to get a shaft - Dig a small hobbit hole to reach stone - Chip out a stone using a pointed stick - Chip out at least 3 more stones with your first sharp stone - Use the sharp stones to get 12 shafts...

Yeah, ran into this the other day but couldn't figure out where they came from till I saw this bug thread. The sandstone bit at least, I've had nothing wierd happen with cobble yet.FlowerChild wrote:Can anyone confirm this?

Axe once I have the iron for it, but a pickaxe if I've hit the second strata and I'm sure there's enough iron behind what I've already collected for an axe. That said I died today, so the new spawn, I may try something new. Hoe and Shears could be interesting, if my thoughts on making things mob-pro...

Combining Mod Slabs Ignores player hitbox
When you place a second vanilla slab on an existing one, minecraft will prevent the placement if the player is stood on the slab. However, mod slabs do not prevent the second slabs placement, causing the player's legs to clip into the new block and, worst case scenario, be pushed out of the block si...

Stone bricks are fine I think - it's clay bricks that come 'loose'.dawnraider wrote:...to properly build out of cobblestone or stone bricks.

Re: Question about BTW V4.AAAAAAAAAAHHHH (Spoilers?)
It's definitely harder. I say this as someone who has reached the nether just twice since stratification was added. It's fun though. Early game actually feels like a game again, instead of a punishment for dying. Each early tech milestone tends to give substancial quality-of-life upgrades, and you'r...

Odd lighting bug involving brick ovens
When a Torch is placed near a brick oven then removed, the oven seems to keep the light level it was at before the torch was removed. Interacting with the oven (Placing items on it, opening it's GUI) resets its light level to normal.

-Fixed a problem where sand would sometimes crush dungeon chests during world gen. So that's what that was. Re: Who (or what?) is Steve? Why is he here?
Think about some of the recent villager changes. Now concider that the vast majority of zombies in the world resemble Steve. As entertaining as the 'Steve is an eldritch monster in somewhat human flesh' theorys are, I'm starting to think that the only thing really special about him is that he was ab...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
I've never useed CraftGuide itself, but after trying recent vanilla releases, and a bunch of other crafting games over the years that used menu-driven crafting (7 Days, YLands, etc.), I'm really not a fan of the style, so I wouldn't be up for including anything along those lines in BTW. Using a wik...

As purely aesthetic requests go, strata-based variations of the stone/stone brick decorative blocks would be great.

Re: Best Early Use of Jungle Temple Loot
There's always the simple things, like piston doors or convience features in mob traps. Tripwires don't detect items iirc, so if you want to automate chickens at all you'll need to use the rate that they grow up as a rough clock. It probably easier to do things manually until you have more resources...

This just updated with an extra chapter at the end of the main campaign, made up of a bunch of space-limited puzzles.
Now I just wished they'd designed the puzzles like that from the get go. It's much more interesting with the extra constraints.

I'm about halfway through, it's pretty good. Spacechem did a much better job at introducing and teaching you how to use it's various tools compared to Opus, which makes me feel like I'm not using things as well as I could be - but then again, I'm getting decent scores compared to other people, so wh...
