Awesome work, can't wait to see what future versions may bring.
I'm curious about the rationale of bringing back the comparator. Will it be used for measuring chest fullness, comparing signals, or both as in vanilla?

Chickens don't lay eggs if server is shut down at night.
Whenever I shut the server down after feeding the chicken, the following morning there's no egg.
If it's relevant, I believe the chicken in question is on a spawn chunk.

Re: [Spoilers?] Pre-nether chicken farm?
Spiders are only 1.5 blocks wide and can fit between fence posts spaced like that. That explains it, thanks :), I got the idea somewhere that they were 2 blocks wide. This is my current world's Chicken coup :) It's got a grass roof for safer grass growth and blocks spiders from spawning inside. Sor...

[Spoilers?] Pre-nether chicken farm?
Tagged for spoilers just to be sure. I've been trying to develop my bases the most I can before going through progression bottlenecks like diamonds and the nether(mostly because I'm a chickenshit). After some pondering about renewable food, and falling in love with the campfire+cauldron realized tha...

Nethercoal torches present in strongholds
Not sure if an oversight or not, but I'm still quite far away from a point where I can access the nether, but while caving in one of my HCS bases, I ended up finding a stronghold, which had plenty of nethercoal torches at the library section. Am wondering if this is an oversight and I should discard...

Lightning does not occur on snow biomes
Not sure if intended. Noticed I had never seen lightning strike in a tundra, so I made 2 tests on creative, one on a large biomes and other on flat snow, and in both no lightning ever struck snowy biomes. The minecraft wiki seems to agree this is the case: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Thunderstor...

Re: Show us your builds!
I believe they meant a kiln for smelting ores and such. I am nowhere that point in the tech tree, but an overly complicated post-soulforge way I thought would need buddy blocks for detecting the ore smelting, 1 block dispenser for the ore and 2 sticky pistons for taking out parts of the kiln for a w...

Re: MInecraft in Latin
Though I couldn't help with Latin in particular, I was wondering if there could be some thread to distribute language packs, as I would be interested in using a German pack(though I know very little of it), and could offer help in making a Portuguese one.

Mobs don't spawn on snow
I'm not sure if I have a botched install, as something similar has happened before, so if somebody could confirm this as a bug I'd be very grateful. I was noticing a strange lack of mobs in my current snowy hardcore spawn, so to test it out I made a creative flatland snowy world, and a small fenced ...

Frozen lakes provide too much safety
Currently I'm building a base in a snow biome, and I've noticed that big enough frozen lakes serve as a great hiding spot at night and as a perfect place to dry clay, due to mobs not spawning on ice and rarely pathing through the big lakes.

Game crashes when placing tool while removing block.
Ran into this crash while trying to chop a tree and accidentally right clicking around the moment that the log was harvested. Gravel and sand can floating over snow
If you try to put sand or gravel above the block that snow occupies, by placing it to the side of another block, it stays afloat over the snow.

Re: Hardercore Spawn [Spoiler Thread]
Few things here I have yet to die enough and actually time it out but I kept seeing the same frickin tree on my respawns while attempting recovery which is making me wonder. Gotta say that with this speculation it's kinda nice to think that you can work towards a good recovery and if you cock up wi...

Dealing with ravines
Over most of my playthroughs, I tend to explore lots and lots of ravines, probably because I refuse to dig tunnels looking for caves before I have a crucible, which forces me to explore surface caves until they lead to lower strata. After so much time trying to find new ways to deal with them, as we...

Re: The Feature Request / Suggestion Thread - LIMITED TIME O
Been a long time since I last posted here. I think I remember a long time ago, there was a vMC snapshot that added some greater spread for fire, depending on the difficulty level, which made forest fires on Hard difficulty really scary and devastating, though I think they nerfed after some time. Alt...

Finding Land though Nether tunneling?
So, I've recently reached a point in my new world where I feel comfortable searching for villages and, more importantly, temples. Thing is, Spawn seems to be just one big island, as far as I could check, and whenever I try making tunnels through the nether, I end up on some cave system, which a litt...

I haven't yet gotten around to this, but I believe you can also use the new chicken egg times as timers for food each day. That may not work well, though, so you might want to stick to Sockthing's design

Re: Persistent mobs
Only zombies and zombie pigmen can pick up items, and they have to have picked up an item to be persistent. Not sure about the other cases. I have certainly seen some skeletons with swords and heads equipped in my mob trap, as well as some wearing my gear after killing me. But yeah, they only persi...

Re: Hardcore Spawn Difficulty
One thing that I noticed used to leave a sour taste in my mouth was how I treated the initial spawn back when I was getting used to it. Your Spawn Base is not just another base in your entire world. It's the center of every outpost. It's the one place you always go back to. The easiest place to find...

Re: Snowy storms barely noticeable
One other thing is that there are two phases of a storm, one where the particles start to fall and one where the lighting darkens. yeah, but since I tend to spend so much more time underground(specially in snow biomes, due to the slowness of walking outside), it's very rare that I get to notice eve...

Re: Tricky problem, need solution ideas.
If you already have the saw, you could make a fence around the island. If not, I guess you could do a ugly floating dirt fence as well.
