Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)

so... Forge wins? How disheartening... If you're not going to be supportive, piss off. EDIT: Oh, and if you'd read it, you'd have seen how stupid your statement was: Oh, and in case any of you are wondering, none of the above affects my ongoing support of BTW. Whether I create a new mod, make RTH a...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)

So...Forge wins? How disheartening... With all your musings and hints on RTH, the prospect of designing an original game entirely seems like a somewhat natural progression. If you do in fact decide to go this route, I'm certain RTH will be as inthralling if not more so than BTW is. I, like many peop...

Re: Favorite way to start a new world.

Get 3 wood, make 12 planks, make a table/wooden pickaxe/wooden axe, mine 12 cobble, make furnace, chop some more wood, make some charcoal, make some torches, Kill some pigs/sheep/cows, make a trap door, dig a hole, start my first branch mine.

My first day isn't really effected by BTW.

Re: [32x32] BTW for Derivation (Released!)

Nice. Downloading this post-haste. :edit: I'm more a fan 16x packs, but as far as 32x goes this one's up there with PanDoku. Really fantastic quality (especially the UI) and the WoW armor models crack me up. ::edit:: Oh man, the night sky is really cool. :::edit:: ... and the villagers are Arakkoa. ...

Re: Reasoning Behind Lack of Bloodwood Planks?

I see. In that case, let us hope then that it's on the list of loose ends. I really dig the small little nonsense bits of BTW (Powered Cake, Concentrated Hellfire Blocks igniting on all 5 faces, etc)

Reasoning Behind Lack of Bloodwood Planks?

*I did a forum search for "bloodwood planks" as was not able to find any posts answering this question. So Bloodwood Logs turn into Jungle Planks. I know the thread about loose ends in BTW got out of hand, but I didn't see mention of this: Has FC ever stated why exactly there are no Bloodw...

The attention to detail for the GUI specifically really sets this pack apart from other RPG themed TPs. Really nice.

When you say "skyblock" are you referring to a general style of survival map or THE Skyblock?

Infernal Enchanter + Bookcases Pictures?

bookshelves equal to the enchantment level placed in 17x17x17 area centered on the Infernal Enchanter to use it to enchant an item [...]At least one side (not top or bottom) of a bookshelf must be exposed to air for it to be detected by the Infernal Enchanter. I'm having trouble picturing this... A...

Re: Help with On/Off inset 3x3 Hibachi

I'd recommend checking out six's thread, I'll be home in a bit at which point I can help, but I remember a few neat designs in there. Checking it out now. Some of this stuff is out there. :edit: Found a neat 3x3 kiln by jorgebona in the mentioned thread that fits snuggly over Hibachi that can fire ...

Re: Help with On/Off inset 9x9 Hibachi

Bit more complicated design, but it has the bellows incorporated as well. It's a variation of the hibachi-setup I tend to use in my worlds, though I tend to have the bellows on the side instead of in the back. It might be a teensy bit more compact than my usual setup this way, actually :P http://ww...

for basic instruction on the actual workings of redstone I would recommend this thread, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/544827-redstone-guide-v121/ Thanks. Oh christ... I didn't even realize you could power a Bellows from anywhere else besides the opposite side of the "blow hole" so e...

Re: Help with On/Off inset 9x9 Hibachi

^ I like that design A LOT. Is the Gold Block vital because it's gold or can any block be there? I'm still rather new at redstone circuitry. Do different materials have different conductivity? Managed to compact the Bellows switch (Purple). Wish I'd realized I can have the on/off line and the altern...

Thanks for showing me how to direct currents vertically. Until now I'd only know how to do it by stacking torches with a switch at the bottom.

Re: Help with On/Off inset 9x9 Hibachi

Managed to hook up a bellows. Kinda messy, but it works and I can fiddle with making it more compact later as I'm no where near where I need to be in my survival world to implement it. http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/270/hibachiproblem201.jpg http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/5848/hibachiproblem20...

Help with On/Off inset 3x3 Hibachi + Kiln Discussion.

Howdy. I'm trying to design a 3x3 Hibachi that is inset by 1 block and has an on/off switch at ground level (either flush or a block above). I've got a switch mechanism set up, but I'm unfamiliar with directing redstone current vertically and I'm having trouble building a switch up to the surface (G...

Re: Anyone able to run a TerraFirmaCraft server for BTW fans

RL Skill as in skill on the part of the player rather than based on an in-game factor like a skill number (i.e. Carpentry 37). Ah, I was misreading "Skill" as skillset, mabad. I like a lot of what TFC brings to the table, but it doesn't seem to really concern itself with the concept of ho...

Re: Noir's Designs and Videos (Illogically Compact!)

Just a closing thought on Screw Pumps: They seem to be a colossal pain given how many automated setups require water... I may just wuss out and turn off HC Buckets... Or do what I do and just use water so scarcely that it becomes irrelevant :) Had a lucky streak in finding diamonds, wolves, cows an...
