Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )

I finally had a chance to check this out. I started by completely removing KSP and reinstalling. Then installed deadly reentry, followed by BTSM. I've started the game 3 times but every time after my initial launch crashes the game locks up. I've tried reverting the launch as suggested but whatever ...

Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )

Just a quick question but are any of you who are having reentry problems using near horizontal reentry corridors or skips? I usually complete a half circle and hit the atmosphere twice before the final decent. I think two thirds of an easy and successful reentry is plotting the best trajectory to bu...

Re: Lihtning deal all elder scroll games and expansions for

Just picked up a copy. From reading the reviews the copy of Skyrim requires a steam account and downloads the expansions when it installs. Since Legendary edition is $35 on steam right now and the Anthology includes Morrowind and Oblivion and their expansions, it's the better deal right now.

It's legit most of their black Friday deals have been bunk but a few like this one have been fairly decent deals.

Re: Game Company

I've made a couple of small games with little to no budget. Lately I've been lucky to have a little money to spend and I've found, especially for the individual working alone, Unity is a great source if your looking for ease and speed of development on the cheap. The asset store is unbelievably chea...

Re: Lightning. It strikes

Lightning rods are designed to be the shortest path from ground to the air above so as to avoid damage to whatever they are near. Basically they need to be the most attractive (lowest resistance) path for the current. I have seen lightning rods that are designed to repel or more precisely prevent li...

For android my two top picks (on the free side) are libgdx if your using java or cocos2d for c++. I only messed with android briefly before decided it wasn't worth it and focusing on IOS instead, I did write a fe games with libgdx while learning opengl and I liked it but found it lacking when I move...

I've used mango languages for a good deal of foreign language study. They have a Korean course and most of the time if you check with your local library you can get free use of mango with your library account. Might be worth checking out.

Re: Candybox 2 (Javascript Game)

I've gotten really far, but the save button hasn't worked correctly for me, as in it appears as a button, but trying to click it produces no visual effect, and refreshing simply wipes my save to square 0. Any tips? You can just edit everything by saving as text and then pasting it into the load box...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of July 22nd)

The standard in the industry at present is to promise the sky. I'm not doing that. What I am doing from the get go is trimming down my project to the bare bones so that any promises I can make, I can actually deliver. Not to ignore you lengthy post a moment ago which I wholeheartedly agree with, bu...

I wanted to see if my concerns were justified so I put the game on a test box and setup a network sniffer and then captured the traffic from the game. The game broadcasts your username and password in clear text over the network. So if you were to use this game on a public network, like school or a ...
