Re: Scrolls...ok, wtf is going on?
Just became one of the top 500 :D As of this post I'm at 496. It'll probably be higher when I go back on in a few minutes though. Something I've noticed though: When you're rating starts to get to 1400-1500, the amount of rating you get per game is only about 20-40 instead of the 60-90 you get early...

Re: Scrolls...ok, wtf is going on?
So far in my own MP play, I've played against decks of each type and both won and lost against them. I've never really felt like I was at a distinct advantage or disadvantage except against players that obviously knew the game way better than I do. Seems pretty balanced so far between the various c...

Re: Scrolls...ok, wtf is going on?
From what I've seen most people seem to be playing growth. I've only played against a few people using energy and even less using order myself.

Re: Scrolls...ok, wtf is going on?
I chose Growth too. I think its mainly supposed to be focused on the kinfolk and the wolves, but the wolves seem like the main units. Its not working too well for me online, because people already know to kill the wolf spawners quickly. Growth definitely seems like its the weakest starter, unless I...

Not really worth keeping a gimmick feature if only a few people use it. My vote is for the axe.

Dinnerbone says nay to coloured wood https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/327166273047891969 I was actually kinda hoping he would add them... (also I believe the new block is adobe?) What? Just cause of a few naysayers? C'mon Dinnerbone, show some backbone and shove your wood down their throats.

All i want from Tethers is the ability to tether my Powered Minecart to other minecarts. I have wanted a Minecart train since i first put coal into my first powered minecart years ago. I would have preferred this to Powered Rails. Choo Choo friggin Choo Now theres an idea. Problem is though, furnac...

Reread it and I think you might be right. My mistake. But in my defense, I did post that right after I woke up.DaveYanakov wrote:ReaperT wrote: I think you and I may be reading this differently. What I read was that with hardcore names turned on, a crouching player's name is still visible.

Re: 4.66 Spoiler Discussion (SPOILERS...no shit)
Not entirely sure if this post fits under the Thread topic since i would call this a bug (although with FC one can never be sure)but when a player shifts/crouches their name can be seen. although only as a faint outline similar to what it would like if a player was shifting in vanilla. That's a van...

Apparently there's also a brand new type of saddle just for horses. Currently, the old saddle doesn't work on horses and it wouldn't surprise me to see it stay that way. Why they didn't just add a crafting recipe for the saddle and use that is obviously beyond my understanding.

Love the color change to quartz. Took me a good ten minutes to realize that you had changed the color and the dark areas of the nether weren't just poorly lit but actually quartz. I don't know why but the original color always made me think that the ghasts had a massive orgy and the quartz I had to ...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
Don't starve isn't a 3d game though. To avoid cold you have to basically insulate yourself and/or generate heat. Since MC doesn't have finite liquid model trying to simulate finite liquid in every block of atmosphere as well as heat transfer seems somewhat unlikely. How could you effectively simula...

Re: Hardcore Beacons **SPOILERS**
The fire on there sounds like a bug due to those blocks sharing an ID with Hellfire. Will fix. As an aside, depression is spending close to a week on features to see them cheated into triviality within a couple of hours. Turns out they give the fire resistance buff as well as the flames. And sorry,...

Hardcore Beacons **CHEATS & SPOILERS **
So since FlowerChild just released his changes to beacons and nobody has created a spoiler thread yet, I figured I'd get the ball rolling.
Nope. Make it on the wiki.

Re: linuxMint and MultiMC failed to write core dump error
You installed modloader over BTW. To fix this, go into the mod list from multimc and change the order of the mods so modloader is first and BTW is last. The order they are in on the list is the order they get installed.

Funny, earlier today I was wondering whether or not you were going to do anything with beacons before moving onto RTH and now I have my answer. Knowing you, you'll actually make them worth getting. And now to go fight the wither!

Nice update. And now to start playing with hardcore spawn. Now that its on by default, I have no excuse not to use it (I don't use the config unless I have to).

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I'm not really seeing a good use for the tnt minecarts. Unless they alter the way tnt works, you risk losing your minecart and any nearby rails. If you're using it to mine, you still have the standard risks of tnt mining so chances are you won't get many resources out of it. You can't send them to a...

Re: Flower's Dev Diary (Week of December 31st)
Considering the direction vMC is heading, I'd welcome it with open arms and lots of placenta. Lots of placenta? Just how many kids have you had? Anyways, I really wonder what Mojang thinks of what goes on in the modding community (if they even know). I really doubt that they would agree with half o...

Re: Favorite way to start a new world.
In all honesty I skip the bread making stage and go straight to meat. You can typically get around 1 to 1 wheat to steak, it feeds for more and you don't have to deal with the hunger loss from hand-cranking. (I really don't like hand-cranking) :) I usually go to meat later on but I don't like start...

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
How does a redstone powered devise like a dispenser, power redstone hooked up to it? That alone will break builds that utilize dispensers. I think Mojang should take a step back and actually think about what they're putting in.

FlowerChild, no matter what you decide to do for the future, you will always have my respect and support. And I'm certain that there are many others that feel the same way. To be completely honest, the way the Minecraft modding community is now just disgusts me. The very thought that something as wr...

Re: Favorite way to start a new world.
I usually get 8-12 wood then look around spawn for a lake or river to build near. Most of the time I try and find water near a hill or mountain and build into it. After that, I get a bunch of stone tools, then I channel some water into my new home and go looking for seeds. Once I have a few, I set u...
