Re: New Release! (BTW 4.69)

FC, just a note Water Buckets harvested from running water now empty themselves when accessing a crafting table.
Buckets created from source blocks remain as Water Buckets when accessing crafting.

I past version checked this and found this also occurs in 4.68 but not in 4.67.

Re: Vanilla Feature court - Session 1 - Analog Redstone

First off, FC I know you plan on placing BTW on the back burner (promising to keep it functional with current versions but basically not doing much more than that) while you work on RTH. That said I doubt the vMC team are going to keep their fingers out of the pie as far as Redstone is concerned. As...

4.65 A Play Review (possible spoilers)

I don't post often, and have been critical of several developments in the past, that said I have always respected FC's motivation and vision. This recent world start though makes me want to post. Having not played since the introduction of HC hunger, and only briefly testing HC movement I came at th...

Re: Villagers are actually useful!

Technically they're not repairing the item, or replacing enchantments, but taking your old item and giving you a different one. (Hence TRADING) While it is sorta odd that someone would take a diamond sword with not even a visible sliver of durability in exchange for a new sword remember these are th...

Re: Compact reloading wheat farm?

Here is a video demonstrating the farm that I recently built. The water flow is a bit botched at the end, but it is one solution.

Hoppers Vs Hoppers and other redstone stuff

I haven't seen any comments on these boards about the new redstone elements due to come out soon. One thing made me download the latest snapshot (as I never bother to do) Hoppers. I was curious about how the folks at Mojang were ripping FC off this time, and wanted to see if they were as messed up a...

Re: Enderman trap

This does have the simplicity of gathering goods from monsters once dead. http://imageshack.us/a/img15/9476/20121209161442.png I placed the crude timer so it would be visible, not the best configuration. For an enderman farm have them drop into this variant. http://imageshack.us/a/img843/5594/201212...

Re: Dinnerbone in BTW MCF thread

All of this off topic chatter about games made me realize why BTW is the only Minecraft worthy of playing. I'll draw the dreaded Everquest Parallel. EQ was difficult, it didn't hold your hand. You had to fight the system to make anything work. (Alpha --> Beta) Than PoP came out (Minecraft went live)...

Re: pig breading problem

you're pretty much gonna have to find carrots in a village if you want them to follow you.
Kibble can breed them, but they won't follow it.

Re: [Spoilers] Hardcore melons!

Have you actually tried that? Falling blocks demolish water sources and having even one flowing water will create undertow that prevents floatation. Yes. A melon can strike a hard surface and shatter without removing the source block it is occupying at the time. I have tested several possible confi...

Re: [Spoilers] Hardcore melons!

Possible exploit, one can now make a 1 block tower of water, with a planter above, that will drop a melon through a set of chicken's to break underneath them and (assuming one has enough wall blocks to prevent seeds escaping) let the seeds float up to feed the chickens. It seems a bit odd that one c...

Re: BTW: The life of Minecraft.

FC wrote: It was a Dinnerbone feature though, and as I've noted in the past, consistency with the rest of MC just doesn't seem to be a factor for him in the way he designs things. Same could be said of the skulls (arbitrary 16 directions of orientation for no real reason) and tripwires (with their ...

BTW: The life of Minecraft.

Like most people here, I played Minecraft extensively up to their so called "release." At one point I found that I had effectively done *everything* and was beginning to lose interest, (or at least search for additional content AKA Mods). I, also like everyone here, found Better Than Wolve...

Cave Spiders and Cobweb

As we all know the mutant spiders that inhabit the majority of the Minecraft universe do not spin webs. Their atrophied spinners are good for only a few strands of durable string. We also know that their much smaller brethren, which inhabit long lost mining areas can and frequently do spin webs. Tha...
