Dying a lot can be frustrating, but it will happen a lot less if you work to understand why it's happening so you can try to prevent it. Please, less rush to fix what isn't broken.... I used them when anvils were easier to make, so late game I could have 10-20 easily, now it's they're far more valuable and harder to make so I can't devote one just to slightly improve the speed I make ropes.

How have you all built you animal enclosures? I built a 6x15 enclosure for 1 chicken and it ate all of the grass. That seems a bit excessive. I'd be curious to see how you've all done it. Lightning is definitely possible, I'll look into the lightning rods and throw some around. I don't see them in a hungry state (and there appears to be plenty of grass) and I have supported 5-6 full size cows at different points in that pen, but then I'll have 2 and a new baby that's bred will be gon...

I've expanded my land and flattened it. There's no longer any step ups towards grass that's not behind a fence or wall and they keep dying occassionally. I've also signifiacantly expanded my torched radius, no mob gets even close to the pen.
Any thoughts?

As you can see in the picture there's no way they can escape, and I've lit up a huge area around so nothing is coming to get them (and I think only zombies even attempt to attack cows, right?) ...

Regarding brewing, the wiki is off. It lists creeper oysters for splash potions, but FC changed it back to gunpowder when he moved gunpowder back to pre-end tech.
Will look at the rest when I get a chance. Thanks for extending it so much!

This is super awesome. It's definitely scary to see how big the mod really is. Especially the fact that villagers take up 1/4 of the entire tech tree (rightfully so, I spent a couple hundred hours at villager trading). It's definitely very thorough and well done, but there were few more minor thing...

I just reinstalled BTW fresh and I don't have any sound at all. Anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting steps, the one's I've found on the minecraft forum thus far haven't done much of anything.

Craft the pumpkin to get a carved pumpkin, and seeds pop out, like bark/dust when you cut logs with an ax.did I totally miss that it is mandatory to drop the pumpkins now for seeds?!?!

I didn't bother with red mushrooms really until I got mycelium, just never found farming for them appealing. But until then stumps everywhere for me.
Once you can get mycelium, and you have a mob trap, you can clear them all out.
