Re: Super Better Than Wolves Dev Diary ft. Community Server Prep
I always wanted to be able to milk creepers in some way to produce a gas thats used in hot air balloon travel for better than wolves. Something about it just seems.... right.

Re: CE Dev Diary (April 16th)
Yeah, I'm with Epsilon on this. No need to feel pressure time-wise. I think any decent fans of BTW are just happy the development is still ongoing and in good hands :)

Re: Sock's Crops Addon - Development Thread
Sock my man you are slaying it! Love the feel of everything, very vanilla/BTW. Just for me personally, would love to see the juicer utilize pistons later, for greater output/ less loss at that point in the tech. Maybe even screw pumps, to act as the eviscerator part of it, or something similar? Your...

Good work dude, might drop in to the server to check things out. Haven't played in ages, might be the kick I need.

Mod add on Dev Diaries!
I'm just here to express my appreciation of so many people putting in the effort to explain their thought process' for mod development. I'm still to scared to start on mods myself (no experience here) but reading everyones thoughts has taken me back to the good old days of this mod. I guess what I w...

Re: Yany's Stuff & Things Addon v1.1.0 for BTW CE 1.3.4 - Now with Harderercorer Spawn!
Oh I immediately love the idea of xp being rewarded in some way, that seems like a really elegant way to boost value of early xp and mitigate spawn sadness. Interesting stuff, good work Yany!!

Re: Sock's Crops Addon - Development Thread
I dunno if this is in the scope or might just be a separate idea, but storing smaller mechanical parts visually in a jar or container which you could right click to grab out of would make workshops look amazing AND be quite useful. Visually representing things like gears and filaments on such a scal...

Re: Sock's Crops Addon - Development Thread
Oh my lord you really nailed the pumpkins. As for the jars, I had almost the exact same idea as a general storage container, love what you're doing there. As for storing things in them: any of the finer items, such as piles, dusts, slag, glue, nether groth etc would make sense. Also blasting oil in ...

Re: New Release! (BTW CE v1.3.X)
- Fixed an issue where several BTW materials would erroneously break the saw. I made sure all vanilla materials were updated to the new system but missed the BTW materials.

Chook Feed
If anyone here has owned chooks IRL, if you havent fed their own dud eggs back to them at some point for the calcium etc, you're doing it wrong. Very evocative but not exactly intuitive. Might be a nice alternative to help you get started on chook feed? I just can't get the thought out of my head, b...

Re: Silage - A Proposal For Animal Feed
On the note Gil made about immersion and such: All other animals it doesn't make a huge amount of sense to feed them desserts to breed. Pigs though, that's practiced a lot IRL. Not for breeding per se, but to help bulk em. I know multiple pig farmers who get the thrown out baked goods from bakeries ...

Thanks for doing Dev Diaries, I always loved these from FC. And factorio for that matter.
A rough breakdown of the time it takes to get to certain points in the tech progression, and then the options that open up at those points, might help visualize what needs to be tweaked? Just a thought.

Holy Crap I'm impressed. Thanks for all the efforts! The continued support and improvement of my favorite game is truly amazing. - Changed wolves to get extra excited after killing a player. Trouble Decompiling code first time.
I've been trying to install eclipse/java etc with the method Magikeh lays out in the Source code post, followed to the letter. I cannot for the life of me get it to decompile. This is my first try at this sort of thing and I get the sense that it is a very minor thing i've overlooked. Each time it g...

Well, what a revelation. Thanks for all you've done mate, I can't wait to get my hands on the source, and I hope that you moving on enacts more positive change in your life, until that change itself needs changing. Love you FC, you showed me mods can be better thought out than the OG game itself. <3...

Music selections for different games
After playing games my entire life, only recently have I realized just h1ow much an appropriate song (not so much thematically, more in a vibe? sorta way) can improve a game experience, not just for enjoyments sake but I've found in certain contexts with certain songs I can achieve that 'Zen' state ...

I'm not there yet (started a new world with vegehenna) but I would be curious to see if the bellows affected the top part of wheat, like a sort of winnowing.

Yeah fingers crossed for this one. Who wouldn't love a 3D Factorio? From the trailer it seems pretty epic in scope though, that might hobble development.
