Re: Compact 100% efficient soul bottler
This is prettymuch the same as the system I've got running myself, copied and built mine off a video showing this same method a few months ago; (The method for detection, and replacement of urns), except! It's not 100% efficient. When the netherrack passes over the hopper, and 'filters', passing the...

Re: WIP: Humane Dung Farm
It's a good thing we can't craft blocks of dung...I think some odd fellow out there would probably make his whole kennel out of dung blocks. Oh wait. We can do that. *steeples fingers and says "excellent" just like Mr. Burns* You -could- go one step further, and make your entire kennel ou...

Re: Design Change Warning: Rotating Gear Boxes
Does this include gear boxes being moved by a piston or placed by a BD? I can understand the reasoning behind it, but then it would make my planned sky base impossible, that relies on a windmill and can switch to emergency power via a water wheel, a spout and water tanks, when it rains. Just thinki...

Re: Tube kiln mechanics?
from my observation, clay pottery has a chance to cook every tick, it also doesnt seem to be cumulative, ie, each tick is a higher chance than the last. Mine are on a reasonably fast push cycle, and will often cook on the first kiln block, rarely do they make it to the 6th out of about 12. with an a...

Re: Auto Kiln, self flushing, no water, ONE piston.
Simple :) Pottery over a hopper turns into item form, sand doesn't :) If you do something like I did for my Clay block/Urn filter, it would work the same way, but for the cooking. Would look cool to use that for both the Kiln and the Pottery setup actually :) Ill have to try that. Of course, you co...

Re: Auto Kiln, self flushing, no water, ONE piston.
how hard would it be to recycle the sand? Step 1: Pick sand up from chest at end Step 2: Walk to front of kiln (about 14 steps or something) Step 3: Put sand in block dispenser =) Unless you mean to automate it, then: The hopper at the end, feed it into a small stream of water, that runs the result...

Re: question about auto-kilns
Don't want to hi-jack the thread but I'm currently working on a more automated kiln as well and have run into a somewhat odd problem and wasn't sure if I should post in an entirely new topic. I'm not at the BD face yet, really just trying to get all my bellow synchronized on a four kiln set up. The...

Re: Trying to create a lunar calendar
Yea, might take some of the presupposed 'difficulty' out of it, but with the BD, lens, and detector block, I think you could make this in a 3x3 area hehe.
Now what you could do, is hook it up to a wolf breeder, and set it up to only release wolves on full moon cycles? >.>

Re: Mob farms/traps in the current minecraft
Through this thread though, noone has really clearly answered the changes; I have, mobs stop moving ENTIRELY if you move more than 36 blocks away. This is the major stinker to solve. as far as i know, they relate to pathing, and mobs not falling 2 block drops anymore without being pushed, but maybe...

My kiln; 1 piston, 1 BD, no water, self flushing, can easily be hooked up to most auto pottery systems =) (As long as you reload it with sand every once in a while.)

Auto Kiln, self flushing, no water, ONE piston.
Hey guys, so I've seen a few threads about auto kilns, and people going about it two different ways, the first being that you have to flush the system with dirt blocks every 5 minutes, and the second being a series of pistons which run after a period of time, crushing the kiln with sticky pistons an...

Re: [HCB] My millstone collection system
Nice start! can you not replace the hopper on the left with a sign? Maybe it'd be easier.. It hadnt really occured to me, as i simply felt like leaving the hopper there, and just having a lower one routing into the chest, though yes, I imagine that could work just fine =) I've changed it slightly n...

Re: Nether Compatible, Infinitely Extendable Auto-pottery sy
Thanks! I built an auto kiln hooked up to a dispenser on the end too, that only uses 1 piston, and flushes everythign out automatically using sand that gets destroyed when it reaches the end, so no water, and no line of pistons all the way down lol. Laggy enough as is. Also put in an auto urn > soul...

Re: Nether Compatible, Infinitely Extendable Auto-pottery sy
Your setup for the bottom left, facing from the front, did not work for me. The single redstone blocks between the green wool do not transmit the redstone current from wool to wool, and so, plugging in a current at the end did not work. I have removed the blocks in between the green wool (orange woo...

[HCB] My millstone collection system
So, I know its super basic compared to most of the stuff posted up, but I'm proud of it so far. Basically, I have hardcore buckets enabled, and wanted to make some way to collect all the netherrack or hemp from my millstones, so i set this system up. Also, it has a saw at the back, to kill any monst...

For anyone who is concerned about not having jungles in your old world (You have a restricted map size, or you've travelled ridiculously far in each direction prior to 1.2), simply craft a few blood saplings before you update to the latest version. Re: So I just won redstone.
I thought about trying to grow a jungle tree in a tube, but I really dont think It'd work. They seem to refuse to grow if they dont have enough room for all the branches and leaves. My current method is to place ladders up the tree (The vines arent relaible for getting all the way up), then just cut...

I can understand the feeling towards tools, but you do have to do quite a bit of work to get to that point (especially if its your first time, and you arent trying to speed through everything checking recipes, guides, videos, etc). That and you do have to keep farming the glue, and make sure your to...

Re: Show me your wolf grinder?
If you look at Sethbling's wolf button video, it drops a wolf into water to un-sit it. That could make for some sort of wolf breeding device... Actually, not quite sure that even THAT would work. In the new update, even if they're in water and thus can move around, they're still technically "s...
