Fairly intricate, thoroughly discussed at...https://www.twitch.tv/whuppee Day 2 stream at 7hr:~35-40min. Weird interactions among torches and other items when using hot keys to swap items with crude torches. Examples are meat turns to torch and it places as a torch when trying to eat. Reverts after ...

Re: Multimc and skins
Can someone please put together a step by step for dumbasses? I've never touched the config file, where does it go? I've always used a skin from planetminecraft and just followed the link to tie it to my minecraft account. Is there a better way?

Re: LAN troubles, not connecting
I sometimes have to add the port number after the ':' when I direct connect with my kids. When the host first opens the LAN, 0.0.0.0:xxxxx pops up in the chat area. It's weird because it's inconsistent whether MC sees the server or not.

Let me jump on the bandwagon. I took a several month hiatus, but I'm back at it and it's as great as ever.
I, too, check the forums every day; I have loved the discussions that happen in this community.
Flowerchild, thanks for the YEARS of entertainment.

Re: The BTSM/BTW divide
I'm betting it has to do with first person vs sim. I think a lot of people grew up playing first person shooters so that's the in-game environment they're most comfortable in.
For me it's all about well balanced progression, and I'm equally content with both.

I've been really frustrated that they've been so focused on multiplayer and graphics for the last six months. I just hope they have a bunch of unannounced features besides tanks, gates, and mobile spitters.

Re: Vanilla Minecraft News Discussion
I don't understand the purchase. 100million copies have already been sold. I get licensing, but a lot of those sales have already happened. I don't think the studio itself is worth a whole lot without Notch or another genius idea. A sequal? How do you improve Minecraft? There're a lot of survival/cr...

Re: Turntables on Chunk boundary
From 4.20 update... -Added Hardcore Info as a new mod feature. This removes any information in the debug menu that can be used to gain an in-game advantage, while leaving in place any info that would be used for tweaking performance and such. It also adds a new display for how close the player is to...

I like the idea with the gravel in the nether. However, I have rage quit many times when it has happened the desert. It's one of those things that I don't feel I have any real control over short of digging every block in front of me or building a path for a one time trip to the desert temple contain...

Re: Turntables on Chunk boundary
FC was kind enough to give us 'distance to chunk boundary' info on the debug screen without giving away coordinates or other information that may detract from his design intent.

Re: The Question Of Multiplayer in RTH
It seems to me that even if you start development with multiplayer from the beginning, you are still utilizing resources on a non-game part of the game. It ends up being more infrastructure development instead of game development. Ultimately you're taking away potential for the Game as a whole, whet...

Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )
I'm having similar problems. Goo canisters on the heat shield, one octagonal strut with probe, finally a couple of struts on top with the parachute. I was going to try sticking a full RCA tank on the bottom above the heat shield next. Will report back after awhile.

Re: Better Than Starting Manned (Flower's WIP KSP mod )
I can confirm that's happening. I found, though, that you can tell the pod to not use it's own power(play/stop button when you right click.) It'll draw from the rest of the batteries. You just have to remember to turn it back on or the result is the same.

Congratulations! Babies are amazing, and things only get more interesting as the brain develops. It's so cool to watch for that moment when they suddenly shift to the next higher level of thinking. No matter how much you know, they always seem to be one step ahead. :D
