Re: WIP: Humane Dung Farm

I don't know, Raust. I'd argue that your wolves are in a disguised prison, while mine get a nice outdoor kennel most of the time, and only do short shifts in the shitter. It's not unlike my experience as an office worker: 8 hours in cubicle hell, 16 to myself. Also, that house is much nicer than the...

Re: WIP: Humane Dung Farm

OK, so here's my prototype: http://i.imgur.com/R6bda.png I figure it's cool to keep your dogs in the space underneath your stilt-house. I'm not gonna live in the house part (god, the whining). It houses a timer hooked up to the food dispensers with an and-gate, so that it only feeds the wolves when ...

I think you are right. I know I did BTW after playerAPI in one version, and the opposite in another. I just don't remember which one worked in the end.

Re: WIP: Humane Dung Farm

All right, I'm coming out as the guy who PMed Raust. Currently I'm working on a setup where the walls are piston-based. So I have a nice open-air doggy kennel when my son comes over and asks to see the dogs. Then when I need dung, I flip a switch. The walls pop out, the floor floods, and I have a du...

Re: Recent Book Findings with Splunk

Bah, books about weapons are great. Certainly not character-improving, but as porn goes there are worse choices. I'm partial to books about WW2 era aircraft. My grandfather had a book for model plane enthusiasts that detailed the paintjobs for every squad of fliers... that book was pure military por...

Re: IDs conversion : a quest for an "how to" or a "why not"

Hmmm... I'm wandering into "I don't know so maybe I should shut up" territory, but wouldn't a block ID conflict resolver solve this issue and more besides? and wouldn't a such a block ID conflict resolver be an integral part of any decent mod API? Or is ID conversion a necessary step for b...

A severe bug caused by the other bugfixes?

Who wants to bet it's the wolf thing that FC already fixed this update?

Yeah, if I knew I would. I just started adding things to the jar one at a time. I think it was Modloader, BTW, Zeppelin, Player API, smartmove, then somnia. But I'm not sure, and I'm not sure what the borked order was either.

I know what you mean. I'm so used to trying to keep my viewpoint bias-reduced. So when I like something I tend to talk about it's flaws, and when I hate something I tend to talk about it's few positive traits.

Crash when opening inventory.

I've installed BTW alongside Somnia, the Zeppelin Mod, Smartmove and some of Rusigami's stuff. Everything played nice together in 1.2.3. Today I tried upgrading to 1.2.4. Minecraft loads fine, worlds load fine, but when I hit "e" for my inventory, I get a Saving chunks crash. I've tested t...

Re: New Release! (BTW V3.58)

No building potential lost, just very little gained. Any woodwork more intricate than 1 meter blocks still has to be done in the standard colors. And if you have trees that give off color wood, your 1 meter standard blocks won't match the color of all your more detailed wood. But this has drifted in...

Having not seen battle royale, I can't say. But the theme prevalent throughout the hunger games is that of "Bread and Circuses." The people in power need to simultaneously entertain and terrify their populace to maintain power and prevent revolt.

You could also let the ropes hit a generic block instead of anchors. Upside down smoothstone brick stairs could look a lot like steel brackets for this purpose.

Those are really awesome, and If I go back to my Scandinavian mod world I'll definately use that for inspiration.
