Re: How long does it take you to get through the tech tree?
You know, if you're THAT ocd you should probably opt for non-legit play as opposed to doing everything legal. I messed with world edit only on the update from 1.0 to 1.1, because I wanted to rid myself of those horrid chunk cliffs, and get oil to spawn closer to my base. I test technical stuff in c...

Re: What do you do with Sindings, Mouldings and Corners?
Yeah, that time I knew about the feature, but wasn't specific in my wording. It doesn't rotate siding more than one space above it, which as the pics show I DID test before I posted. Potentially, Changing that would allow for some pretty pimp secret doors. Hmmm.... Two of my stated wishes were alrea...

Re: An Important Announcement
I'm actually rather happy, because this gives me more time to move up the tech tree and stock up on stuff.
Tell you what, FC. I'll let you know when I've got 3 stacks of steel. You don't need to release until after that.

Oh gods yes I need to figure that out. Sadly IRL once you open your mouth there's no way to choose not to post. You can't start saying something, realize it's stupid, then go back and unsay it.
I have a really bad habit of answering truthfully when asked.

Husbag, you've been around long enough to know that "I'm sure it would be possible" is one of those phrases you never say. Like "At least things can't get any worse" or "what could possibly go wrong?"

Protip: It's not quite enough to search for the exact phrase you use to describe an idea. This isn't a "This forum" thing, it's a general search thing. People describe the same thing different ways. Something like this idea comes up every time someone asks the millstone to grind something....

I'm looking forward to the paper walls. Not only will they be great for my houses, they'll look great as sails on ships. Paper walls is one of the major reasons I ever tries Millenaire, and I was really cranky that I couldn't craft them myself.

A lesson these forums taught me.
I just wanted to say this: This forum has made my life better in a most interesting fashion. In my first few weeks here, I've been on tiptoes because of how widely FC swings the Banhammer. I've been extremely careful to make sure that what I'm posting is useful, adds to the discussion, or is at leas...

Try powering it with redstone ^.^ http://files.sharenator.com/Scanners_Freak_Your_Mind_Out-s400x295-137618-580.gif Wish list amended. I wish that the turntable continued to rotate blocks above it, so I could make my secret door 2 blocks high. http://i.imgur.com/hcn3Q.png http://i.imgur.com/QFUPB.pn...

Re: How long does it take you to get through the tech tree?
Yeah, I know how that is. The first week after 1.2 came out, I didn't build a single thing at all. I simply loaded up seed after seen after seed looking for one with good potential. One thing to recall, though, is that in minecraft mistakes are cheap and easy. Even with BTW and flowerchild's joy in ...

I hate surprises, really. Anticipation. I hate anticipation. But I love speculating. To avoid issues, I speculate without caring about the correctness of the speculation. I also still enjoy a story even after being spoiler'd to death, and I shop with family for my own presents on holidays, and still...

Re: How long does it take you to get through the tech tree?
I seem to be the slowpoke around here: I've been playing my latest world maybe two weeks, probably about 2 hours a day. I'd estimate I'm at least 24 hours into this world, and I'm just installing my first waterwheel. Then again, This is an island survival scenario: It took me 2 hours of exploring ju...

Re: What do you do with Sindings, Mouldings and Corners?
Don't forget that siding on a turntable rotates. I'm sure this can be put to useful effect.
I wish there was some what to alter which way a turntable rotated, but I understand the programming limitations that prevent that feature.

Silly idea for getting the Sakura Tree: Plant an apple. I know, but it's the closest we have to cherries in the game.

Re: Working on a BTW addon
So, how are the sakura trees implimented? Do they spawn in the world, or do you have to craft and plant them like bloodwood? I'm actually hoping the latter, because I prefer not to mess with world generation changes.

Oh and Anarchitect, I saw your post on the RBDTools thread and replied to it, including my, in hindsight, incredibly stupid justification for using shears in the machete recipe :) Thanks a ton for the input. Thank you for taking it in the spirit intended. I've noted before that I tend to complain a...

Curves and domes. Combined with the upside down stairs, I've gotten some impressively... round things. Heresy, I know. Furniture. Half wool block base, panels for the back of the chair, and moulding and corners for the arms. Moulding and corners to add railings to the top of glass panes, iron bars, ...

As to the cultivator: I was thinking left click to hoe, right click to plant. But single click would be even better! If you can get the other tools to work on multiple items, the culivator could also plant melons, pumpkins or anything else grown from seed. Where can I get a copy of the mod to help t...

Re: My Latest Build: Combined XP and Dung Farms.
Hey, why not set up the dung farm system to work on a day/night timer, so that they're always out in the open during daytime? Well, for the first part, a day/night timer is beyond my current means. But If I really wanted them to only produce dung at night, wouldn't I simply put their pen far enough...

Re: Drunken musings (with swords)
I imagine that european countries have more laws on the books regarding swords than the states do, even if many of those laws date back to when swords were in practical use. Here in the states, we've had guns longer than we've had a country. We've never had to deal with swords as anything other than...

Re: Raust's Mods Thread
Yes, I'd like it to cut wood like an axe and cut leaves like shears, but I want it to have the normal chance of dropping a sapling instead of harvesting leaf blocks. And since I'm digging this "right click to place specific block from inventory" thing, I'd like it to place saplings. The id...
