Re: RTH Q&A thread
Not seen this asked before so: You mentioned it is going to be a voxel based game: Do you plan on writing your own voxel engine or using an existing one that supports voxel rendering (not that many around actually) ? If you do plan on writing your own, it would be nice to get some dev diaries at som...

Did you use it with a large biome setting ? And don't forget the " - " in front.
It's really not a mountain seed at all for me at least :D

Super hardcore seed
Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I just had to share this seed. Just got done installing the latest version of BTW and started a new large biome map with this seed -1907013862 I won't spoil the surprise for anyone who might be interested, but just a small heads up, be sure to keep space presse...

Maybe we should be considering what we could use it on instead ? :o

Re: Basic Mechanical 2 way item splitter
Stick a buddy block on a turntable (output facing up), stick the dispenser on that and the hopper above that. Small, simple, doesn't require more work getting between us and phases 1 through 5. I guess that's similar to what i'm already doing (in the screenshot in the OP). Still, that makes the spl...

Basic Mechanical 2 way item splitter
I am aware there was at least one other thread on this topic here, but that was more than half a year ago, and with the latest release of BTW, the bricks in hopper method for splitting items doesn't work any more so I felt this is needed. I also know FC mentioned he was thinking of adding something ...

Re: Controlled Substance Rooms (hazard zones)
I like the idea myself. I guess one problem is that concrete is not actually a different material, it just turns to rock.
But yeah, I would like more of these "special" constructions in the game. It feels a lot like taking the crafting off the table and into the world :)

Re: Gearbox transf mech power to adjacent gearbox w/o axle
Alright, can't argue with that, it can be fun figuring out optimal placing as well. It's probably just my fault for always building half of a contraption then realising i need some extra machine in there somewhere and scrambling to figure out how to pull the mech power and redstone around without sc...

Gearbox transf mech power to adjacent gearbox w/o axle
I've recently been building some more intricate contraptions (as I've been struggling, and to my great satisfaction, succeeding, to redesign my BTB machines to work with BTW alone). One of the issues i've run into countless times is that time when you need to power two side by side blocks, and you e...

Re: Show us your builds!
With the impending doom of BTB, I found myself needing to redesign many of my machines to work without pipes. I generally like having a central control room where I can neatly input stuff and get them back as output from any machine, with the inner workings neatly hidden behind walls. To begin with,...

Finally a use for rails and minecarts (don't look at me that way :( I never used them much, if at all).
Sounds awesome!

Well it could work if you could fit a windmill on a big boat and somehow set up a propeller with mechanical power :DTwololcats wrote:...
That and/or a motor made of steel? EDIT: motor not really fitting btw theme, nvm
And 1 question, can hoppers put things in chest boats?

Re: BTW or BTB
well first of all i want to thank everyone for all the replies on this thread it did really help me. Well, this all comes down to a matter of personal preference. Despite assertions to the contrary, BTB is not BTW. They play very differently. Both are enjoyable in their own way, but it's really not...

Re: Non infinite fire duration
Going to the nether in order to advance through the tech tree is an intended part of the mod. There isn't an alternative or temporary way around it that I'm aware of nor should there be. Fire duration/spread is likely not something fc would modify for something like this. Keep in mind btw is intend...

I've recently started a new world with BTB, and it's, as usual, a lot of fun. I've just got to the point where i set up my first wind mill, and I'm looking into tanning some leather. Problem is, I don't have a nether portal up yet, so no netherrack. I was thinking though, that some planks or logs wo...

If you only have two floors the elevator goes between you can automate this with a single button (press it to make the elevator go up or down depending on where it is). Create a T-Flip Flop next to the pulley at the top, this will control the pulley. Next, feed the signal from the top button into th...

You can also use 2 pulleys/anchors on the sides if you want to keep the middle clear (takes twice as much rope though, but you can also make it a bit wider too while you're at it).

Re: New Release! (BTW V3.26)
Found a potential bug, though haven't tested on other versions so can't tell if it's from BTW, vanilla MC or one of the other mods I use ( Timber! and Optifine HD_B). Wooden slabs require a pick to break; breaking them with an axe takes forever and doesn't return the slab. Also, any hint on when you...
