Re: Dyes in Cauldrons
It seems like a cool idea, but look what happens when you put non-food (dung)in a caouldron: it turns rotten. The cauldron is meant to stick to cooking (or ruining) food. THats why sandstone cant be turned to sand in a millstone: it was meant for organic materials Most dyes are organic, so maybe th...

Re: Power: infinite or finite supply?
In a (slightly) related way, i long ago proposed a power system for MC. I'm not suggesting it be added to BTW (No way it would fit into the Mods current feel) but I am just adding this here as a point of conversation. Yeah, well back when I was a kid, my parents took me to the zoo. When we saw the ...

Re: Crash after loading a world
News to me, I only installed Nethercraft fo diffeent looking stuff, but thanks anyway. Not Nethercraft... the actual nether. It crashes when entering a portal. This has been discussed in the last few pages of the MC Extended thread. Oh... one more thing. There was a problem with BTW and MC Extended...

Re: .class conflicts between BTW and Aether
Lol...fair and unbiased? No. The rabid nut-jobs on the Minecraft forum are really not my concern with this. I actually saw a post on MCF the other day by someone complaining about pistons being added to MC. They felt it was another complex geek thing (like redstone) and that Notch was moving the ga...

Re: Crash after loading a world
A few things - some of those mods don't like the BTW axe changes, so you will have to disable that in the BTWconfig. There are also some issues with ShockAhPI which FC is looking into. Some people have had luck installing that before BTW, some after - but either way, some functionality will (current...

Re: A philosophical question
Actually, there are many examples of critters that can retain fertilized eggs or sperm for a very long time. This is most common with various fishes and insects.James_Past wrote:The slight chance it's already pregnant and it's mate is already dead by the time I arrived.

Re: Dung and Hemp not appearing!!!
I'm sorry. I thought it would be easier for us to figure out if you have some problem like the wrong ModLoader if we could take a quick peek at the text file. But if you don't know what a text file is, how to open one, or how to copy and paste text, I don't think I can help you.

Re: Dung and Hemp not appearing!!!
Sigh. You got into your .minecraft folder, open ModLoader.txt with any text editor, and paste it into a reply here. It is best if you use spoiler tags: {spoiler} at the top, and {/spoiler} at the bottom - but use square brackets instead of curly ones. If I type those here, my text will be in a spoil...

Re: .class conflicts between BTW and Aether
Not to get too off topic, but the InvEdit tool might work, and doesn't require installing a mod. The CJB ModPack would work as well, and you can turn off the inventory part after you get the portal - and you get that oh-so-cool HUD. CJB can also just be dropped into the mods folder if you don't inst...

Re: Dual Monitors ?
I used to, but now I mainly use a wide-screen laptop. I used to support (when I did IT) some systems with 16 or more monitors - it was for SCADA. Some of the computers we use at work have 2 or 3 monitors, and I don't work in computers any more. I've seen pics of cool gaming setups for driving, FPS, ...

No worries about the wordiness man. I appreciate you investigating this in such detail. Have to do something to keep busy while I wait for inflatable sheep and baby seals. :) Suggestion: make a custom atoi() (or whatever) that does a trim() and then a parseInt(). That might save the headache when p...

2.81. FC forgot to change the announcement here. The discussion threads about each version tend to get locked when they go off-topic which is usually before the next version is released.

config reader bug
I don't normally use the config - just go with the default values. But I thought I would take a look before I flamed someone on MCF. :) So I tested with a clean MC+ML+BTW 2.81 and TMI so I could see the IDs. First of all, all the items seem to get the config ID + 256 (when things work - see below). ...
